Joe Rogan names very controversial figure who should be his Dem rival...and top conservatives all agree

Joe Rogan has praised Hunter Biden as Democrats' next great hope after the presidential scion's ranting three-hour interview tackled everything from his crack-cocaine addiction to the failures of the party. 'He could be president,' Rogan declared on Wednesday's episode of the Joe Rogan Experience while featuring a clip of Biden's viral sit-down with YouTuber Andrew Callaghan. Rogan lauded Biden for his frankness and intellect around the subject off addiction, adding that 'he's a lot smarter than people give him credit for.' During Biden's interview with Callaghan, the scandal-scarred first son explained the psychology behind addiction and Americans' perceptions of crack-cocaine, leading Rogan to call it 'the greatest crack advertisement of all time.' 'If crack wasn't terrible for you, this guy makes me want to try crack,' Rogan told guest Joe DeRosa on his podcast Wednesday. 'I'm not going to. I'm not giving any advice, but I'm saying this guy, like legitimately this might be the best advertisement for crack of all-time. 'He's a lot smarter than people give him credit for,' Rogan continued. 'He's talking, and one of the things he was talking about was why smoking things are so addictive, why smoking cigarettes are so addictive, and the psychology behind it. He's not dumb. 'But he's just a guy who became an addict, and that f**ks your whole life up. It f**ks you. You become a subhuman.' 'And your dad is one of the most famous people on the planet. It's so crazy. Rogan then played the clip of Biden explaining crack addiction. 'He could be president. How about that? He could. No bull***t. Hunter Biden, after all he'd been through, look, his dirty laundry's all out there. We all see it. He was a freak.' He added: 'He's smarter than his dad when his dad was young, and he was a crackhead.' A day earlier, conservative commentator 'Comfortably Smug' of the Ruthless podcast hailed Biden as 'the Joe Rogan of the left,' earning a shout-out from Megyn Kelly. On Kelly's own show Tuesday, she called Biden's honesty 'entertaining.' 'A little misguided on pointing the finger at others, many others for doing things that he himself has done,' she said. '[But] it was very entertaining to see him break out the machine gun, the rhetorical machine gun, and go after every prominent democrat.' Breitbart editor-in-chief Alex Marlow branded Biden's interview 'the most entertaining content [he'd] watched all year', calling him 'the left's Joe Rogan in waiting.' The interview, during which Biden teed off on everyone from James Carville to George Clooney, has secured nearly 2.5million views on YouTube. 'What right do you have to step on a man who's given 52 years of his f**king life to the services of this country and decide that you, George Clooney, are going to take out basically a full page ad in the f**king New York Times to undermine the president,' Biden said of the actor, who turned on the president after his disastrous debate performance against Donald Trump in 2024. He also attacked CNN's Jake Tapper, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Carville, dismissing the democratic strategist as someone who 'hasn't run a race in 40 years.'

‘He could be president': Joe Rogan peddles Hunter Biden as White House contender after viral interview

Joe Rogan, the world's most listened-to podcaster, has suggested Hunter Biden could follow in former President Joe Biden's White House footsteps someday. The 57-year-old podcaster declared that Hunter 'could be president' on Wednesday's episode of The Joe Rogan Experience. Rogan has more than 20 million subscribers on YouTube, with episodes that regularly surpass 1 million views. Rogan praised the former president's son after he gave a viral, three-hour interview to independent journalist Andrew Callaghan, during which he spoke about his struggle with a crack cocaine addiction. 'He could be president,' Rogan said Wednesday. 'How about that? He could, no bulls***.' 'Hunter Biden, after all he's been through, look, his dirty laundry is all out there…He's smarter than his dad when his dad was young,' Rogan added. 'And he was a crackhead.' Hunter previously detailed his struggle with addiction in his 2021 memoir, Beautiful Things. In the interview with Callaghan, he recounted the toll that his addiction took. 'The only difference between crack cocaine and cocaine is sodium bicarbonate and water and heat,' Hunter explained. 'I feel really reluctant to kind of have some euphoric discussion…I don't want to have the experience of some euphoric recall. That's how powerful crack cocaine is,' he added. Hunter went on to caution people against using the drug. 'If you want to completely utterly f*** up your life — you know, I don't think that anything is necessarily, 'Oh, you do it once, you're addicted,' but about the closest thing that statement could be true would be with crack cocaine,' Hunter said. Rogan said that Hunter is 'a lot smarter than people give him credit for,' citing the recent interview. 'He's talking, and one of the things he was talking about was why smoking things are so addictive, why smoking cigarettes are so addictive, and the psychology behind it,' Rogan said. 'He's not dumb.' While Rogan says he doesn't affiliate with any political party, he is hugely popular with young, conservative men. Rogan invited President Donald Trump on the show in 2024 for a three-hour interview. He went on to endorse Trump hours before Election Day, which was seen as a major win for the Republican. Rogan went on to attend his inauguration. The podcaster has also expressed support for Trump's opponents, like Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders, who caucuses with Democrats. Rogan has even criticized some aspects of the Trump administration in recent months. Rogan called the large-scale ICE raids 'f***ing nuts' in June. He criticized the administration further on July 2 for targeting immigrants who do not have criminal histories. 'One is the targeting of migrant workers,' Rogan said. 'Not cartel members, not gang members, not drug dealers. Just construction workers. Showing up in construction sites, raiding them. Gardeners. Like, really?' The podcaster reportedly asked Trump to back off on detaining immigrants with no criminal history during a private dinner on June 30. Rogan also noted the growing infighting among Trump supporters — particularly after the administration struck three nuclear sites in Iran — in an episode last month featuring Sanders. "I think the whole MAGA thing right now is very divided, particularly because one of the things they voted for was no war," Rogan told the senator. "Well, now it seems like we're in a war. It's quick, we're six months in, and that's already popped off." Rogan went on to praise the 'reasonable points' made by Representative Thomas Massie, a Republican who has drawn Trump's ire after opposing recent spending legislation and calling the administration's strikes on Iran 'unconstitutional.'

Ambien use not recommended for people with these occupations, according to doctors

Ambien is under scrutiny following recent claims about Joe Biden's use of the popular sleep aid. In an interview with YouTube host Andrew Callaghan that was released Monday, Hunter Biden alleged that the sleeping pills could have contributed to his father's apparent cognitive struggles during the first 2024 presidential debate. 'He's 81 years old. He's tired as s–t. They give him Ambien to be able to sleep,' the former president's son claimed. 'He gets up on stage, and he looks like he's a deer in the headlights. And it feeds into a f–king story that anybody wants to tell.' Amid these claims, some have voiced concerns about the former president's possible use of the drug, which has been linked to memory problems and daytime grogginess. Ambien (generic name zolpidem), a prescription medication for insomnia, is intended only for short-term use, according to GoodRx. Some of the more serious and rare side effects can include hallucinations, 'abnormal thinking and behavior,' and 'possible increased risk of dementia in older adults.' During a Tuesday appearance on 'Fox and Friends,' political reporter and author Salena Zito commented on the president's alleged use of Ambien. 'For the guy who's supposed to answer the 3 a.m. phone calls — it's bewildering,' she said. 'I can't imagine a doctor prescribing that to a president, and I can't imagine that this has been a secret.' 3 Ambien is under scrutiny following recent claims about Joe Biden's use of the popular sleep aid. Getty Images Who should not take Ambien? The medication's prescription information warns of 'potential impairment of activities requiring complete mental alertness,' including operating machinery or driving a motor vehicle, which can last until the day after taking it. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) states that pilots and aircrews should not fly within 24 hours of taking a sleep aid. 'All currently available sleep aids, both prescription and OTC, can cause impairment of mental processes and reaction times, even when the individual feels fully awake,' the agency states in its 'Do Not Fly' guidelines. Heavy equipment and machinery operators should also refrain from operating machinery within seven to eight hours — or ideally until the following day — after taking the drug due to delayed cognitive and motor recovery, according to the medication's prescribing info. Commercial truck drivers should adhere to these same cautions. For drivers taking a prescription sleep aid, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration states that a medical examiner will review each medication and request a letter from the prescribing doctor to determine whether the drug will 'adversely affect safe operation' of a commercial motor vehicle. 3 Former President Biden falls on stage during the 2023 United States Air Force Academy Graduation Ceremony at Falcon Stadium, Thursday, June 1, 2023, at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. AP Experts also urge caution for law enforcement, first responders and medical workers in acute healthcare settings due to the risk of slowed reaction time, 'cognitive fog' and errors in judgment. 'I think there may be times when physicians require sleep aids, but not in a way where they could interfere with performance during procedures,' Dr. Marc Siegel, Fox News' senior medical analyst, told Fox News Digital. For military personnel, the Department of Defense (DOD) requires service members to get a minimum of seven hours of sleep per night for 'military readiness.' 3 Hunter Biden alleged that the sleeping pills could have contributed to his father's apparent cognitive struggles during the first 2024 presidential debate. Bloomberg News The DOD has also cautioned about the 'physiological and cognitive negative side effects' of sleep aids. Hunter Biden doesn't know the meaning of shame

Even in an increasingly shameless age, Hunter Biden is pushing the envelope. For reasons perhaps known only to himself, the former first son has decided to return to the public eye to defend his father – further disgracing them both in the process. The younger Biden has spent a lifetime screwing up – and then landing on his feet, ostensibly because of his famous surname. He is alleged to have made millions as a lobbyist and for working on international business deals while Joe Biden served as a senator and then as vice-president. He is believed to have made another $1.5 million during his brief career as an artist, which coincidentally corresponded with his father's tenure in the Oval Office. And he avoided prison time, despite two criminal convictions, after President Biden went back on his word and pardoned him. That's to say nothing of the drugs or the women – or indeed the court testimony of his late brother's widow, who testified that Hunter had introduced her to crack cocaine. Now, the younger Biden seems to imagine we've forgotten all of this, apparently believing that he is the best man to launch a quixotic solo mission to rescue his family's honour. Instead, however, he's only showcased the Bidens' trademark delusion and entitlement. During an interview with Andrew Callaghan released earlier this week, Hunter blamed almost everyone but his father for the Democrats' stunning defeat in the 2024 presidential election. 'What right do you have to step on a man who's given 52 years of his f—ing life to the service of his country, and decide that you, George Clooney, are going to take out basically a full-page ad in f—ing The New York Times to undermine the president?,' he asked. As if Clooney, a long-time Democratic supporter, who wrote a column in July last year calling on Biden to stand down, had no right to take a view on whether the party's nominee would win the election. About his father's humiliating performance during his debate with Trump last year, Hunter produced the following excuse: '[Joe Biden] flew around the world ‒ basically the mileage that he could have flown around the world three times. He's 81 years old. He's tired as s—. They give him Ambien to be able to sleep. He gets up on the stage, and he looks like he's a deer in the headlights, and it feeds into every f—ing story that anybody wants to tell.' The issue wasn't his father's disastrous performance, apparently, but the fact that Democrats refused to ignore it. During a separate conversation with former Democratic National Committee Chairman Jaime Harrison, Hunter claimed: ' We lost the last election because we did not remain loyal to the leader of the party … We had the advantage of incumbency, we had the advantage of an incredibly successful administration, and the Democratic Party literally melted down.' That's the view out of Bidenworld, a land every bit as fanciful as Narnia, Oz, or Shangri-La. But it's more than fanciful. It's shameless. The instinct isn't to come clean as to what really happened, but to attack those who (belatedly) tried to expose the truth. Journalists like Jake Tapper – who Hunter appears to have a particular animus for – deserve criticism not for shining a light on the extent of the 46th president's decline and its cover-up, but for failing to do so earlier. And the public simply did not agree that Joe Biden's presidency was 'incredibly successful'. He was on track to lose to Trump well before his debate performance. Also, for the record, being 81 years old and 'tired as s—' isn't an excuse for Biden's meltdown, it's what was so concerning about it. It is only a little over six months since Joe Biden left the White House, having tarnished his legacy by clinging to power far longer than was appropriate and, yes, by bailing out his disgraceful son. It's said that time heals all wounds. Not in this case. Hunter Biden is picking at an open sore on the face of his party, and it's unlikely to recover until he returns to the wilderness for good.

Ambien under scrutiny amid claims Joe Biden had been taking sleep drug

Doctors are chiming in after Hunter Biden claimed that sleeping pills could have contributed to his father's apparent cognitive struggles during the 2024 presidential debates. Former President Joe Biden's son made the statements during an interview with YouTube host Andrew Callaghan that was released on Monday. When discussing his father's performance in the first presidential debate on June 27, 2024 — which was widely described as "disastrous" and ultimately led to Joe Biden dropping out of the race — Hunter Biden pointed to his father's alleged use of the sleep aid Ambien. Doctors Express Concern About Biden's Apparent Cognitive Issues During Debate: 'Troubling Indicators' "I'll tell you what, I know exactly what happened in that debate. He flew around the world, basically, and the mileage that he could have flown around the world three times," Hunter Biden said during an appearance on "Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan." "He's 81 years old. He's tired as s---. They give him Ambien to be able to sleep. He gets up on stage and he looks like he's a deer in the headlights. And it feeds into f------ story that anybody wants to tell." Read On The Fox News App Ambien (generic name zolpidem) is a prescription medication for insomnia. It is intended only for short-term use, according to GoodRx. Some of the most common side effects of Ambien include dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, muscle and joint pain, and double or blurry vision, the above source stated. After Biden Drops Out Of Race, Doctors Reveal Why The Decision May Have Been Best For His Health The medication can also cause memory problems and grogginess during the day. More serious and rare side effects can include hallucinations, "abnormal thinking and behavior" and "possible increased risk of dementia in older adults," according to GoodRx. "By itself, zolpidem can cause a higher risk for falls, altered behavior and oversedation. If combined with other substances, the risks are even higher," the same source states. "Zolpidem can cause daytime sleepiness, dizziness, confusion and slowed brain activity, especially when combined with alcohol, benzodiazepines, opioids or tricyclic antidepressants." It is recommended that people age 65 and older "use extra care" after taking the drug, as it can increase the risk of falling. Dr. Marc Siegel, senior medical analyst for Fox News, agreed that Ambien can lead to confusion, hallucinations or out-of-body experiences. "Ambien is not a great drug for the elderly for these reasons," Siegel, who has not treated Biden, told Fox News Digital. However, the doctor continued, "We don't have a verifiable source to be sure that this is true about the Ambien … He could have been taking anything." Siegel also pointed out that Ambien is not a sedative, and if Biden took it the night before, it should have worn off by the time of the debate. "And taking it right before the debate makes no sense whatsoever – no doctor would recommend that," Siegel said. Dr. Michaela Robbins, a board-certified nurse practitioner in New York and founder of East x West Med, a hormone and longevity practice, has not been involved in Biden's care but commented on Ambien's possible role in his alleged condition. "It is hard to say without providing a full medical assessment, but generally Ambien use can absolutely cause the type of confusion that Biden appeared to experience," she told Fox News Digital. "Studies have suggested that even short-term use of Ambien may cause delirium and confusion, and long-term use has been associated with an increased risk of dementia and cognitive decline, especially in the geriatric population." She added, "It is less likely to cause that type of impact in a younger, healthier individual — but for someone Biden's age, medication-induced confusion is common, especially with sedatives." Click Here To Sign Up For Our Health Newsletter Overall, Robbins said, Ambien is recognized as a "problematic and inappropriate medication" when prescribed to older individuals. "Ambien can be a really dangerous drug in older adults, especially when or if combined with other medications," she said. Every time Ambien is prescribed, it is recommended that the patient receives a thorough medical assessment and discusses the pros and cons with a doctor. "From a longevity perspective, I believe there are better interventions to prevent or treat insomnia that have fewer health risks and lead to less mental impairment," Robbins advised.
