Israel announces ‘tactical pause in military activity' in parts of Gaza to allow aid
Israel has said secure routes are being put in place to allow emergency supplies into Gaza amid the growing international outcry over starvation there. Some air drops have begun – although aid agencies have repeatedly warned this will do little to ease the humanitarian catastrophe. Reeves announces £15bn in transport investment outside of London
The Chancellor's main aim of her trip to Manchester was to promise fifteen billion pounds worth of investment in transport projects in the North and West of England as well as the Midlands.
