Pixel Watch 4 might finally bring a feature it must have had years ago
Pixel Watch 3 | Image credit — PhoneArena Google might be breaking new ground with the Pixel Watch 4 and finally offer a whole strength training experience. The device may also feature upgrades for various other sports, demonstrating Google's fitness ambitions. A new report from Android Headlines claims that Google might introduce an all-new strength training experience with the Pixel Watch 4 . That could include a Workout Builder, which may allow users to create custom interval workouts with warm-ups and cool-downs. The new feature's idea would be to help users maximize their performance and avoid potential injuries. Pixel Watch 4 may track those workouts and provide real-time guidance, helping users reach their fitness goals. At the end of the workouts, the watch might give users detailed insights into their form. All those features would be a breath of fresh air for anyone who hits the gym more often than the track. Most smartwatches, including all previous Pixel Watch models, focus mainly on cardio workouts, such as running and cycling, and don't provide much information or guidance for strength strength training upgrades don't mean that the Pixel Watch 4 will ditch cardio workouts. The smartwatch might offer AI-powered run recommendations, which would be available to Fitbit Premium subscribers. Runners may also enjoy advanced metrics for their runs. The expected metrics are: cadence stride length vertical oscillation ground contact vertical ratio ground contact balance Other sports are also likely to get upgraded. Google may handle swim tracking better and improve the cycling experience with the watch. The report also claims that the Pixel Watch 4 activity recognition might get much better, helping it to automatically identify sporting activities with higher precision. Leaked render of the Pixel Watch 4 | Image credit — 91 Mobiles Earlier this week, Google announced it'll hold an event on August 20. While there's no official confirmation, it's expected that the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be introduced at that event. The Pixel Watch 4 is also likely to be part of the Made by Google announcements. I think Google is on the right track with the strength training features. Going to the gym is more popular than ever, but fitness technology is lagging. Part of the reason is that tracking gym exercises with a watch is technically challenging. However, AI and the more advanced sensors on newer models might be a solution. Either way, as a gym aficionado, I'm excited about those Pixel Watch 4 features.

Samsung tri-fold phone likely to offer same top-tier performance as Galaxy Z Fold 7
Samsung's first tri-fold phone is getting closer to launch, and more details are slowly starting to surface. The latest one is about the chipset that will power the device, and it's the same one found in the Galaxy S25 Ultra and the Galaxy Z Fold 7. According to an Android Headlines report, the information comes from the internal beta version of One UI 8, which revealed a code string referring to both the tri-fold's internal codename and the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. While many expected Samsung to go with Qualcomm for this phone, the confirmation is still notable, as it shows the company is planning to give the tri-fold true flagship-level internal codename for the tri-fold phone is Q7M, and that name was spotted alongside the Snapdragon 8 Elite model number — SM8750 — within One UI 8's system files. This suggests that the phone is being actively tested on the latest version of Android, which is Android 16, and will likely launch with Samsung's new One UI 8 skin on top. Given that Samsung now promises seven years of software and security updates for its top-end devices, it's reasonable to expect the same for the tri-fold Galaxy Z TriFold name was also recently filed as a trademark by Samsung, which has fuelled speculation around what the final name of the product might be. While some feel this may not be the final branding, it's clearly one of the options the company is considering. Either way, the tri-fold is expected to be a major step forward in foldable phone design, with a form factor that uses two hinges and opens up to reveal a larger 10-inch screen inside. Unlike Huawei's outward-folding approach with the Mate X series, Samsung is expected to keep the foldable display on the inside, which should offer better durability. A smaller cover display will sit on the outside for regular phone use, while the large inner screen will unfold like a tablet. Early leaks suggest the phone will also include three rear cameras, though the exact camera specs remain under wraps for Samsung tri-fold phone isn't expected to come cheap. According to previous reports, the price could go up to $2,900, which is roughly Rs 2.5 lakh. It may also be a limited release at first, likely restricted to China and South Korea. A wider global launch could follow later if the first-gen model does well. For now, the phone is rumoured to launch in October 2025.- Ends

Google wants to take your breath away with this one new Pixel Watch 4 health feature
If you're still not very excited about Google's next big smartwatch after the latest rumor calling for a major repairability upgrade over last year's Pixel Watch 3, perhaps an even newer report from the same source will manage to get you hyped up. This one anticipates an expansion and improvement of a key health monitoring tool present on Google-made timepieces since the first generation back in 2022, suggesting the Pixel Watch 4 will do an even better job than its forerunners to keep an eye on the wellbeing of its owners and ensure you'll seek professional medical help whenever needed. Do you feel like you live a very stressful life and often have trouble catching your breath even when you're not working out or doing anything particularly physically challenging? According to the (almost) always reliable folks over at Android Headlines, Google's 2025 Apple Watch alternative might be able to help you find out if that's all in your head or you're actually having difficulties breathing when that really shouldn't be the case. This new feature could be just as important as the Pixel Watch 3's loss of pulse detection tool. | Image Credit -- Google As you can imagine, we don't know many details on how the Pixel Watch 4 's Breathing Emergencies functionality will work, but based on that name alone, it's safe to assume the device will alert you when it detects a possible issue with your oxygen intake. That will obviously be made possible by a blood oxygen sensor that's become rather commonplace on (high-end) smartwatches in recent years, although I'm not aware of any company actually having implemented this exact type of feature before. Clearly, Google is working hard on making its smartwatches capable of keeping people alive and healthy in as many different ways as possible, with the Pixel Watch 3 also supporting a host of other super-helpful technologies like fall detection, Safety Check, Emergency Sharing, and of course, ECG (all of which are virtually guaranteed to find a place on the Pixel Watch 4 as well). Could Google beat Apple to the punch as far as satellite connectivity integration on smartwatches is concerned? Today's Pixel Watch 4 report certainly seems to suggest so, but in the absence of any information whatsoever on how that "Emergency Satellite Communications" feature will work, it might be wise not to get too excited just yet. The decidedly familiar-looking Pixel Watch 4 could hide plenty of neat new tricks up its sleeve. That's because satellite adoption has been rather slow and bumpy even for the world's best smartphones, so if the Pixel Watch 4 does come with this built-in tool, it may not function as impressively as it sounds, greatly depending on your location, carrier of choice, and perhaps even the handset you choose to sync to your smartwatch. No, the Pixel Watch 4 will probably not look vastly different from its predecessor at first glance, but under the hood, Google might just bring enough tweaks and enhancements to the table to make a world of difference in terms of your real-life user experience. Oh, and best of all, the prices are expected to go unchanged from 2024, once again starting at a fairly reasonable $350.

Google Pixel 10 Series Launch Event Confirmed For August: Date And What To Expect
Last Updated: Google Pixel 10 series launch is confirmed for August and now we also have the date when the new products will be unveiled. Google Pixel 10 series launch event date has been confirmed by the company this week, and as rumours have suggested, we'll be seeing the new Pixel models next month. In fact, the next edition of the Made by Google event is also coming through earlier than before but around the same time as the Pixel 9 event last year. The new Pixel 10 lineup is likely to include four models once again, including a new foldable, along with a new Pixel Watch version and maybe some new Pixel Buds too. Pixel 10 Launch Event Date, Timings And Where To Watch Google Pixel 10 series launch event is confirmed for Wednesday, August 20 and the showcase will be happening in New York, US this year. The Made by Google event is scheduled for 10 AM PT which is 10:30 PM IST for those watching in India. Google's new Pixel 10 launch event will be live steamed on its official YouTube channel. We're yet to hear about the Pixel 10 launch date for the Indian market. Pixel 10 Series Launch: New Phones, Watches And More Google Pixel 10 series will most likely have four models this year. The Pixel 10, along with the Pixel 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Google should also bring the new Pixel Watch 4 model which is rumoured to get the same design as the Pixel Watch 3 but carrying a bigger battery this year. The new Pixel 10 Pro leaks have been shared via Android Headlines in a report. The Pixel 10 Pro is expected to sport a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, while the 10 Pro XL gets a 6.8-inch display with the same panel and refresh rate. We expect Google to power them with the new Tensor G5 chipset which is supposedly being made by TSMC using the 3nm process. The company could launch the 10 Pro models with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage variants. Google should also have the Android 16 version ready for the new models, something that did not happen with the Pixel 9 series last year. The new Pixel 10 Pro Fold model is expected to get a 6.4-inch cover OLED display and an 8-inch inner screen with up to 3000 nits of peak brightness. The device should get the Tensor G5 chipset with up to 16GB RAM which is the usual upgrade over the year for a product from Google. However, the most important change could be the Pixel 10 Pro Fold battery, which could get bumped up to 5,015mAh unit, which is over 500mAh more than the unit on the 9 Pro Fold from Google. view comments First Published: July 17, 2025, 08:15 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Pixel Watch 4 upgrades could include a repair-friendly design and new emergency tools
Kaitlyn Cimino / Android Authority TL;DR With the Pixel Watch 4, Google may finally introduce a new construction that's more conducive to hardware repairs. A new Breathing Emergencies tool could detect with your oxygen levels fall too low. Google may also bring satellite support to the Pixel Watch 4 for communication during emergencies. When you're thinking about picking up a premium smartwatch, durability is a major concern. After all, a good watch can easily go for as much as a phone itself, and while you may have a few options in terms of 'cases' and screen protectors, there's little denying that a watch is just a whole lot more exposed than your phone is — and that much more vulnerable to accidents. But while you may prioritize models with big, durable bezels and scratch-resistant sapphire crystals, what about the flip side of the coin: a watch that's easy to repair once the damage actually happens? Normally we wouldn't think of Pixel Watch models as being particularly serviceable, but according to a new report from Android Headlines, the Pixel Watch 4 is shaping up to be the most repairable iteration by a long shot. So far, the Pixel Watch's construction has basically been an impenetrable glass-and-metal puck, a smoothly weathered stone with no obvious point of entry. If you've ever had the misfortune for your Pixel Watch's glue to fail and the back to pop off, you'll both know that there isn't really much you can do in there anyway, and that getting it back together is a job better left for Google. A more serviceable Pixel Watch sounds great, but we don't get a ton of specifics here about how these improvements are supposed to work. The site only reports that the hardware's being designed with reparability in mind. As if that weren't enough, Android Headlines also follows up this reparability news with a report about some new emergency features that we can hope to expect from the Pixel Watch 4. For one, Google could bring satellite connectivity to the Pixel Watch series with Emergency Satellite Communications on the Watch 4. For the moment, that label is all we have to go on, without any details about how the service might operate, but that still sounds like great news that should place Google's smartwatches on more even footing with Apple's. The other new emergency feature tipped to land with the Pixel Watch 4 is supposedly a new Breathing Emergencies alert. Using the wearable's SpO2 sensor, this would give you a heads-up when your measured blood oxygen levels fall below a certain limit. Just yesterday, Google confirmed an August 20 date for its next Made by Google event, where we're set to meet the Pixel 10 series, maybe some new Pixel Buds, and almost certainly the Pixel Watch 4. With just a month to go, how many more leaks will arrive before this smartwatch officially shows us what it can do?
