Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 details leaked, several enhancements tipped

India Today14-05-2025

Samsung's next-generation clamshell foldable, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, has started making headlines ahead of its expected launch in July. While the Galaxy Z Flip 6 only brought subtle upgrades over its predecessor, early leaks now suggest that the Z Flip 7 could see more noticeable changes — especially in terms of design. Initial renders showed a very familiar look, sparking concerns that Samsung was once again playing it safe. However, newer information hints at a more refined exterior, with what could be the biggest visual change to the series since its debut. The most notable improvement? A significantly larger cover display, one that may take up almost the entire front panel.advertisementAccording to a recent report by Android Headlines, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 might adopt a design similar to that of the Motorola Razr Plus. The new renders show a 4-inch outer screen that almost completely covers the front of the phone, with precise cutouts only for the dual cameras. It's a striking look — and more importantly, a practical one, giving users more space to interact with widgets, notifications, or even run full apps without unfolding the phone. This design change isn't just a rumour. Leaked One UI 8 firmware files seem to back it up. As per a report by The Android Authority, animation references within the code show silhouettes of the Flip 5, Flip 6, and Flip 7 — and the Flip 7's outline clearly shows a larger cover screen than its predecessors. While it's still early days, this kind of detail adds weight to the leak and gives us a better idea of what to expect.

In terms of hardware, reports suggest the internal 6.8-inch display may remain unchanged, sticking to a familiar size and layout. The Z Flip 7 is likely to be powered by Samsung's in-house Exynos 2500 chip and is rumoured to feature a 4,300mAh battery. The phone is expected to come with 12GB RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. On the camera front, no major shake-up is expected — at least not yet. Leaks point to the same 50-megapixel main camera paired with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. Alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Samsung is also rumoured to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is tipped to feature a thinner design, a new hinge mechanism, and a powerful 200-megapixel camera. There's also talk of new wearables, including the Galaxy Watch 8 and possibly even an Android-based XR headset. We'll know more in the coming weeks. Stay tuned to India Today Tech for all the latest on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7.

Google to launch Pixel 10 series on August 13, Pixel 10 Pro leak offers first look at design

Just days after Google invited fans to its exclusive Pixel Superfans programme event in London, we now have a much clearer picture of when the Pixel 10 series will officially launch. According to multiple reports, including information from trusted leaker MysteryLupin and sources speaking to Android Headlines, Google is reportedly planning to unveil the Pixel 10 lineup on August 13. That's the same date the Pixel 9 series launched last year, and if all goes according to plan, pre-orders will begin on the same day. Shipments are said to begin on August 20, two days earlier than last year's the confirmed event date, we've also got our first look at what seems to be the Pixel 10 Pro. The leaked set of images, reshared by Mystic Leaks, doesn't show a dramatic design overhaul. If these images are the real deal, expect flat sides, a horizontal camera bar at the back, and minimal bezels up front — just like the Pixel 9 Pro. Credit: Mystery Leaks/ Telegram The Pixel 10 series will reportedly include four models this year: the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. One of the biggest expected changes is under the hood — all devices are likely to run on Google's next-gen Tensor G5 chip, said to be manufactured by TSMC. This could bring noticeable improvements in performance and efficiency, especially addressing heating and battery concerns from previous Pixel In terms of software, the new phones are expected to debut with Android 16, packed with AI features across the board. We could see advanced editing tools in Google Photos like Video Generative ML, Speak-to-Tweak voice commands for photo edits, and Sketch-to-Image capabilities that can turn rough drawings into more polished visuals — all powered by on-device also talk of Google finally bringing a triple-camera setup to the base Pixel 10 model — something that's been reserved for the Pro line until now. However, not all changes will be upgrades. Some sensors on the standard model might be similar to what we saw in the Pixel 9a, including a possible downgrade in the ultra-wide camera. Still, Google's image processing software has always played a key role in delivering great photos, so the real-world difference might not be too stark. We'll have to wait and less than two months to go until the rumoured launch, there's still more to learn about the Pixel 10 lineup.
