Pixelvest fined RM3mil, director jailed over unlicensed fund management
KUALA LUMPUR: The Sessions Court here has fined Pixelvest Sdn Bhd RM3 million and sentenced its director, Ang Jen Chuen, to three years in jail for operating an unlicensed fund management business.
Judge Siti Shakirah Mohtarudin handed down the sentence after the company, represented by Ang, also known as Dexter Ang, pleaded guilty to the offence under Section 58(1) of the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007 (CMSA).
Ang also pleaded guilty in his capacity as the company's director under the same Act for carrying out fund management activities without a licence.
