Hyderabad Collector calls for celebratory start to academic year
District Collector Anudeep Durishetty in a review with officials of the Education department instructed 100% distribution of school uniforms and textbooks to students.
Teachers and school staff must also ensure the premises are suitably decorated to welcome parents and students on June 12, he said.
It was said that 1,03,912 pair of school uniforms, over 9.63 lakh textbooks, and over 6.25 lakh notebooks, are ready for distribution on the day.
Mr. Durishetty also instructed officials to install the Badi Bata application to monitor enrolment and distribution of material. Under Anganwadi Bata programme, he said a large campaign must be taken up to ensure admission of two-year-old children. Centres operating from rented premises must also be moved to nearby government schools, he said.
