CBB's Angellica Bell gushes blood as she smashes face in horror accident

Fresh out of the CBB house and presenting the BBC coverage of the Chelsea Flower Show, Angellica Bell talks royal encounters and why good pal Alan Carr is a 'danger to her health' Angellica Bell walked out of the Celebrity Big Brother house with her head held high and her heart full. The presenter, 49, has been gracing our screens with her sunny persona for 25 years, starting off on CBBC before taking her place on The One Show sofa and winning Celebrity MasterChef in 2017, and, most recently, she's been presenting daytime coverage of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Viewers were saddened when she was dropped from The Martin Lewis Money Show in 2023 after six years – but Angellica says now is her time to shine, as she exclusively tells OK! what she learnt about herself in the CBB house, exciting projects on the horizon and her encounters with King Charles. ‌ ‌ Hi, Angellica! What's the reaction been like since you left the Celebrity Big Brother house? It's been really good. A lot of people have been like, 'It was great to have you back on prime-time TV and see you mucking about and dancing and laughing.' What doors have opened for you following CBB? I've had some development meetings for some shows. Watch this space! It's a really exciting moment for me. I can't wait to see what happens next. I want to be a guest on panel shows. Before I might not have been at the forefront of people's minds to do that, but now I am. Maybe I can bring that fun side. I want people to see that I can be a bit of a fool. I like having a laugh. My friends say I'm the life and soul of the party, cracking jokes. I love a one-liner and a bit of banter. A comedy panel show, that'd be so much fun. Whenever I see Judi Love, I cry with laughter. Same with Alan Carr. I'd love to do something with them. You and Alan must have some fun times? Oh, we do! Alan and I went to the cinema one time and he's like, 'We're gonna leave before the lights go up' because he gets mobbed wherever he goes. We get up when it's still dark, and he goes, 'Come on, come on.' I fell over a foot rest and smashed my mouth. I had blood everywhere. Being his friend is a danger to my health! ‌ Are you still in touch with all your new CBB pals? Chesney Hawkes and I have been messaging, Danny Beard and I, too. I've been talking to Patsy Palmer, who's back in LA now. I know Trisha Goddard from way back. Daley Thompson wants to train with me in summer. Michael Fabricant was lovely. He came up to me afterwards and said, 'Thank you so much for giving me time.' It had people from different backgrounds coming together. Mickey Rourke gave me his jumper. He probably learnt a lot from his experience in there. He told me so many incredible stories and asked questions about me and that shows he was interested in other people and learning. I did tell him a couple of times, 'Oi, you can't do that.' But he was open to that. ‌ What did the show teach you? That everyone has a place and a purpose. It gave me time to think about how I've been around for 25 years. You go on this treadmill of life. Danny said I should be proud. Sometimes I feel awkward saying that. The times I got emotional in the house were when people were complimenting me, I found that quite uncomfortable. I came out of the house with different skills. Daley was training me. Telling me I was stronger than I think I am. That's growth and personal development. I love that. I was doing handstands with JoJo Siwa. She taught me the jive and Charleston. I learnt you have to carve out time for yourself to have fun, laugh, do something different. It was transformational. I went in wanting a new start and I got it. ‌ You mentioned your new dancing skills – could we see you on Strictly Come Dancing next? After I came out, lots of people said you need to be doing Strictly because of your dancing. I wouldn't mind it, maybe the Christmas special. I'd be petrified! ‌ How was presenting the RHS Chelsea Flower Show? Brilliant, we were giving take-home tips for people's gardens. Outside spaces are great for mindfulness and the show gardens are amazing. So is the fashion. I wore a tea dress designed for me. It's red with a rose pattern. The print is gorgeous. Tell us about some of your celebrity spots there over the years… ‌ I've met the King there! We bumped into each other. Then we crossed paths again and he said, 'Are you following me?' He's got a great sense of humour. It's not the first time I've seen him. I did The Great British Village Show with Alan Titchmarsh and James Martin. The final was at Highgrove. Alan introduced me to the then Prince. He said, 'I can tell you eat your vegetables, you've got amazing skin.' Camilla came afterwards, she said, 'I watch you with my grandchildren.' Wow, that must have been a career highlight! Anything else that sticks out for you? Winning Celebrity MasterChef. I said no initially. I don't like pressure. But I love cooking. That's a lesson – you should push yourself out of your comfort zone. I had a cookbook on the back of it. It was an incredible experience. I've interviewed George Clooney and Oprah. It's nuts. I've always been around, I've always worked. But there are peaks and troughs. Just be yourself and it usually works out.

The One Show undergoes last-minute line-up change as star is forced to pull out due to illness

The One Show underwent a last-minute line-up change as one of its main stars was forced to pull out due to illness. Alex Jones and JB Gill confirmed the news while hosting Wednesday's instalment of the BBC chat show. Opening the show, Alex, 48, confirmed that Watchdog presenter Nikki Fox had to pull out of the programme at the last minute due to illness. However, she confirmed that Angellica Bell had dashed over to stand in for her as the show underwent an unexpected line-up change. Alex announced: 'Now, unfortunately, poor Nikki is unwell, but Angellica [Bell] is here to save the day. She's raced all the way over from the Chelsea Flower Show.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Angellica then sent her co-star well wishes as she added: 'That's right, get well soon Nikki.' As well as the watchdog segment hosted by Angellica, the show also included chats with Timothy Spall, Jason Isaacs and Raynor Winn. Earlier this month, Alex Jones was reduced to tears on The One Show back tears as a guest read out a heart-wrenching letter from her late father. The host found herself welling up during an hour-long special in honour of the 80th anniversary of VE Day, which marked the end of World War Two in 1945. A woman named Eirwen was welcomed into the studio and she told how while her mother was pregnant with her in 1944, her father Lloyd was serving in the Royal Artillery. At the time, Lloyd wrote a heartbreaking letter to his wife in case he passed away at war, though he thankfully survived and returned to his family. Eirwen read out his devastating words live on-air as she shared: 'This seems a very strange letter to write. There seems to be so much I'm needed for. 'Firstly, of course, you - because you, my angel, are always first in my thoughts and when I do go into battle, it will be with your name on my lips and your memory inspiring me to fight. 'Then, there is Eirwen. I do so much want to see the child and be a real father. 'Although there are many miles between us physically, I feel that you are straining every nerve to be near me in spirit. 'I need you my sweetheart and I am just an ordinary chap but I am going in there with the gloves on. 'Don't grieve for me, my darlingest, but look after Eirwen and bring the child up to be as fine a person as its mother.' Tearfully, Eirwen concluded her reading: 'So, sweetheart, for the last time, I will say goodnight my darling, be good and God bless you.' Alex was left nearly in tears by the emotional letter and reached out to give Eirwen a comforting touch on the knee. The presenter said: 'Thank you, thank you for sharing that, that was... I mean, it's so moving, isn't it?'

Angellica Bell makes pointed remark about Martin Lewis and her 'secret sacking' from his show as she insists 'it wasn't my fault'

Angellica Bell has opened up about her 'secret sacking' from the Martin Lewis Money Show as she made a barbed comment about her former co-host. The TV presenter, 49, who recently appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, insisted it 'wasn't her fault' thshe was let go from the programme as she detailed her bitter exit. During her time on the reality series, Angellica spoke about her 2023 axing from the show as she broke down in the Diary Room in emotional scenes. Speaking about it for the first time since she left the show, Angellica told the Sun: 'I think I was hurt because it wasn't my fault. You work with people, you go through so much and build up bonds, and when that's gone, with no card, no thanks, it's really 'I'm a nobody in this business – I'm at the bottom of the food chain, so when it changed, it changed a lot for me, not just emotionally, but financially, too. When you love something – you love the show, the audience and the people who work on it – and then it's gone. . . I was sad.' Revealing she has no ill will but didn't appreciate the way it was handled, Angellica said: 'Things happen, things change. I respect the decision, but I think the way it was handled. . . People need to take care of people's feelings.' The TV presenter, 49, who recently appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, insisted it 'wasn't her fault' thshe was let go from the programme as she detailed her bitter exit It was claimed that due to Angellica's appearance on Channel 5's The Gadget Show, rebranded Shop Smart, Save Money, it represented a conflict of interest. The former Blue Peter presenter was told days before she was due to resume filming on Martin's show that she was no longer required. Days before Angellica broke down in tears discussing being axed from his show on Big Brother, Martin made an ill-timed remark about how much work he's been juggling. Angellica was overcome with emotion as she finally addressed the reports she'd been 'secretly sacked' from The Martin Lewis Money Show back in 2023. The CBBC presenter confessed it had taken a 'long time' to get over and revealed she'd finally begun to feel like herself again during her time on CBB. Shortly before the emotional scenes aired, Martin told his followers he was having to turn down work because he simply didn't have the time to give. In an Instagram post, the TV money expert revealed he was asked to take part in Celebrity Traitors but he was worried he wouldn't be able to fit it into his busy schedule. He confessed 'I'm no Traitor, sadly. I've got FOMO [fear of missing out] looking at the Celebrity Traitors line up. I was asked if I wanted to do it, but said no as I couldn't commit the time.' Martin went on to admit he hadn't watched the show at the time he was offered a place in the celebrity version, but he has since caught up and is 'gutted' to be missing out. He added: 'I hadn't watched it then, but watched the last series after that and loved it. So now I feel a little gutted - though I still don't have the time. Sigh!' The new celebrity version of the show is coming to the BBC later this year and features a star-studded line-up which reportedly includes Stephen Fry, Celia Imrie, Charlotte Church, Tom Daley, Jonathan Ross, Alan Carr, Paloma Faith and Kate Garraway among others. The show - which is expected to air in the second half of 2025 - sees a group known as The Faithfuls hunting for The Traitors, a group whose identities are kept secret from the majority and carry out a nightly 'murder' to eliminate a member of the group. While fans won't be able to see Martin on Celebrity Traitors he is often seen on Good Morning Britain and This Morning since as well as hosting The Martin Lewis Money Show. Angellica served as co-presenter on Martin's show from 2017, but when the show returned for series 13, she was missing. Ahead of being evicted from Celebrity Big Brother on Tuesday's episode, she opened up about her experience, saying she felt like she had 'found herself again' in the house. Angellica said: 'It's probably the best thing I've done in a long time. Before I came in here, I was a little bit scared. 'The press were asking if I'd talk about the Martin Lewis show and stuff. It took me a long time to get over that.' Angellica served as co-presenter on Martin's show from 2017, but when the show returned for series 13, she was missing, reportedly axed days before the new series filmed She went on: 'I'm so grateful to all the audience that messaged me about it and also to other celebrities who contacted me and stuff. 'It was those messages and support that got me through. That's why I wanted to come on the show to tap into my old self. 'It has taken a long, long time. I think I've found myself again being here. Every cloud.' Angellica was unceremoniously let go from The Martin Lewis Show in 2022 days before filming began. The Sun reported at the time that producers claimed the axing was due to Angellica appearing on rival Channel 5's The Gadget Show, which has been rebranded to Shop Smart, Save Money, saying it was a conflict of interest. However, insiders told the publication: 'Everyone is stunned by the move - no one saw it coming. Angellica has been an integral part of the show since 2017 so for her to be bumped off air with no warning is crazy. 'Staff have naturally been talking and find the whole thing really awkward and unfair, but Martin is trying to keep out of it as it wasn't up to him. 'Bosses say due to The Gadget Show's rebranding as Shop Smart, Save Money it's a clash of interest but in reality the decision had nothing to do with Angellica. 'Many staff feel at the very least bosses could have given her warning or an option as to which show she wanted to continue with.' MailOnline contacted representatives for ITV for comment. Representatives for Angellica declined to comment when approached. Shortly after her emotional scenes aired, Angellica was booted out of the Celebrity Big Brother house. She was the first of three celebrities to be evicted on Triple Tuesday - followed by TOWIE's Ella Rae Wise and EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer. The final six, Chesney Hawkes, Chris Hughes, Danny Beard, Donna Preston, Jack P. Shepherd and JoJo Siwa have made it to the final. Angellica was evicted first on the night after hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best revealed over a million people have voted. Exiting the house, Angellica said she felt 'amazing' as she was greeted by cheers. Speaking to the hosts, Angellica got emotional as she watched her best bits and opened up about face-to-face nominations. Angellica said: 'It's never nice picking out faults in people especially when you haven't spent much time with them. 'I was a bit shocked by Patsy, she has been around a long time and she knows what she wants, whereas I let others have what they want. 'She always treated me like a child and not in a bad way but she wanted to look after me but I wanted to help as well.'
