Four Familiar Faces Return As Part Of Cristian Chivu's Coaching Staff At Inter Milan Aleksandar Kolarov is not the only familiar face who will be joining the coaching staff of Cristian Chivu at Inter Milan. This according to today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that there will also be three other notable returns. Advertisement Cristian Chivu has named his coaching staff at Inter Milan. Most notably, former defender Aleksandar Kolarov will be the 44-year-old's assistant. Kolarov spent two years as an Inter player between 2020 and 2022. Prior to then, he had played for the likes of Lazio, Manchester City, and Roma. Inter had also targeted Giovanni Martusciello and Walter Samuel as potential assistants for Chivu. However, it's Kolarov who has arrived in the end. (Photo by) However, the Gazzetta further note, Inter will also bring back a few other familiar faces. Firstly, there will be ex-midfielder Angelo Palombo. Palombo spent the bulk of his career as a player at Sampdoria, but had a brief loan spell with Inter in 2012. Advertisement Chivu will bring Paolombo to Inter as part of his coaching staff. Meanwhile, the Gazzetta report, goalkeeping coach Paolo Orlandoni will return to work alongside Gianluca Spinelli. And lastly, the Gazzetta anticipate, Stefano Rapetti will return as athletic coach. He had been at Inter during the time that Jose Mourinho was coach.

Inter confirm new coaching staff in full after Chivu appointment
Inter have officially confirmed their new first-team coaching set-up following the recent appointment of Cristian Chivu as head coach. Chivu was appointed head coach of the Nerazzurri just shy of a week ago, replacing Simone Inzaghi on an initial two-year contract that will run until the end of the 2026-27 season. Advertisement The 44-year-old returns to San Siro after spending the final seven seasons of his playing career with the Nerazzurri, as well as having led the club's youth teams as a coach at every level from the U14s up to the U19s. Chivu and his squad are currently in California, based at UCLA for the duration of the FIFA Club World Cup, which kicked off with a 0-0 draw between Inter Miami and Al Ahly on Saturday night.
