Springfield Science Museum holds 2nd annual ‘To the Moon and Back' event
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – This Valentines Day love was in the air at the Springfield Museums.
The Springfield Science Museum held its 2nd annual event, 'To the Moon and Back' Friday night. This event allowed couples and families to experience the wonders of science together while also celebrating their love for each other. It featured a planetarium show with music, a tour of the rooftop observatory and arts and crafts.
'Having this many people at the museum is a great experience for both the staff and the visitors. It's a lot of energy, a lot of fun. You've seen a lot of new people experiencing the museum for the very first time and for returnees. All are experiencing it in a new way,' said Project Manger at Springfield Museums, Ryan Mahoney.
'Never been to the planetarium before. Couldn't wait to come. And this just seemed like a great night to do it,' added Anita Eliason of Easthampton.
And it was a sentiment that was echoed as the museum saw sold out planetarium shows all night.
