Head-to-Head challenge at Miss World 2025 crowns four purpose-driven winners
The top four winners of the Head-to-Head Challenge at Miss World 2025 were announced on Friday (May 23) spotlighting voices that fused beauty with purpose and advocacy.
Miss Wales Millie Mae Adams, Miss Trinidad and Tobago Anna-Lise Nanton, Miss Turkey Idil Bilgen, and Miss Zambia Faith Bwalya emerged as the champions of the intense competition, each representing their respective continental groups: Europe, the Americas and Caribbean, Asia and Oceania, and Africa.
The challenge commenced at Hyderabad's T-Hub on May 20 and 21 and brought together all 108 contestants, divided into two groups over two days. Each participant presented their 'Beauty with a Purpose' initiative, addressing a spectrum of social and humanitarian issues, from education inequality to mental health and public health advocacy.
A total of 20 finalists were shortlisted after the preliminary rounds and were invited to share their initiatives with deeper clarity, commitment, and compassion. The four winners stood out with personal stories of resilience and social dedication.
Miss Trinidad and Tobago Anna-Lise Nanton praised Telangana's progressive stance on gender equality, saying, 'Telangana shows the world that women can study, work, dress, and live freely. Thank you for not leaving women behind.'
Miss Zambia Faith Bwalya opened up about her battle with anxiety and depression, crediting spiritual growth for her healing journey. 'Faith in God and self-discovery pulled me through. Discover your purpose, then give it away,' she said.
Miss Wales Millie-Mae Adams, a medical student and mentor, urged for greater access to education, especially for girls from underserved communities. 'You can be a doctor and a beauty queen. You can be anything,' she said.
Miss Turkey Idil Bilgen shared how her breast cancer advocacy was born from personal grief, her mother's 16-year battle with breast cancer. Her campaign promotes early detection and public health awareness across Turkey and Ukraine.
With the Head-to-Head Challenge wrapped up, the spotlight now turns to the Top Model competition that will take place on May 24.
