The top four winners of the Head-to-Head Challenge at Miss World 2025 were announced on Friday (May 23) spotlighting voices that fused beauty with purpose and advocacy.
Miss Wales Millie Mae Adams, Miss Trinidad and Tobago Anna-Lise Nanton, Miss Turkey Idil Bilgen, and Miss Zambia Faith Bwalya emerged as the champions of the intense competition, each representing their respective continental groups: Europe, the Americas and Caribbean, Asia and Oceania, and Africa.
The challenge commenced at Hyderabad's T-Hub on May 20 and 21 and brought together all 108 contestants, divided into two groups over two days. Each participant presented their 'Beauty with a Purpose' initiative, addressing a spectrum of social and humanitarian issues, from education inequality to mental health and public health advocacy.
A total of 20 finalists were shortlisted after the preliminary rounds and were invited to share their initiatives with deeper clarity, commitment, and compassion. The four winners stood out with personal stories of resilience and social dedication.
Miss Trinidad and Tobago Anna-Lise Nanton praised Telangana's progressive stance on gender equality, saying, 'Telangana shows the world that women can study, work, dress, and live freely. Thank you for not leaving women behind.'
Miss Zambia Faith Bwalya opened up about her battle with anxiety and depression, crediting spiritual growth for her healing journey. 'Faith in God and self-discovery pulled me through. Discover your purpose, then give it away,' she said.
Miss Wales Millie-Mae Adams, a medical student and mentor, urged for greater access to education, especially for girls from underserved communities. 'You can be a doctor and a beauty queen. You can be anything,' she said.
Miss Turkey Idil Bilgen shared how her breast cancer advocacy was born from personal grief, her mother's 16-year battle with breast cancer. Her campaign promotes early detection and public health awareness across Turkey and Ukraine.
With the Head-to-Head Challenge wrapped up, the spotlight now turns to the Top Model competition that will take place on May 24.

Adrianne Curry shows tough reality behind her America's Next Top model victory; all you need to know
, America's Next Top Model's very first winner, is giving us the tea on the reality of her legendary win—and it's far cry from the glittering fantasy that people thought. On the June 3 episode of Just B with Bethenny Frankel, the 42-year-old model-turned-recluse spoke candidly about the failed promises, financial non-reward, and her lengthy path to finally moving on. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now "My season of Top Model, I was the lone winner who won no money. Zero dollars," Curry revealed to Frankel, who was shocked by the admission. Curry achieved stardom in 2003 as the winner of Cycle 1 of ' model competition show, which enthralled millions with hopes of transforming normal young women into supermodels. However, according to Curry, things were far from how they were presented on TV. "There was no money in my win. I won a title," she went on, explaining that although the show promoted a Revlon campaign as part of the grand prize during production, that segment was eliminated from the final product broadcast on TV. Although Curry did ultimately make $15,000 from Revlon, she maintains the experience made her feel cheated. She also got a contract with Wilhelmina Models but asserted in a 2017 blog entry that the agency released her once the show changed to IMG Models for its second season. Wilhelmina refuted Curry's allegations in 2023 through a statement by VP Ray Lata: Two decades ago, Wilhelmina had various owners and employees. Wilhelmina is today a publicly owned company. It does not appear there would be enough incentive to injure Tyra and not seek to optimize a model's earning potential." Nevertheless, Curry asserts that the real prize she emerged with wasn't a lucrative modeling career—but merely a title. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now "Tyra [Banks] was saying we're gonna be this giant Revlon-type superstar. Because I don't think any of us would have struggled as hard as we did for what the award actually was—which is the title," Curry said. "So I always tease because people are like, 'You still refer to yourself as America's Next Top Model?' I'm like, it's the only f—— thing I won. I'm gonna put it on my tombstone." When 54-year-old Bethenny Frankel inquired whether Curry had felt a need to join in on the online criticism of Tyra Banks amidst the 2020 "reality reckoning" tide—when videos from ANTM re-emerged featuring contentious challenges such as "race-swapping" photo shoots—Curry replied that she deliberately avoided it. What's actually funny is everybody needed me to dog pile on Tyra Banks when 2020 was going on and everybody was getting angry," she remembers. "And I'm like, no, because if anybody has a right to be angry with her, it's me. And I'm done. I don't care anymore. What she taught me was the reality of entertainment. Curry long ago parted ways with the fashion and public eye. But through this honest interview, she paints a grim portrait of the unseen realities reality television stars endure—even the winners. Her account joins the list of voices calling for greater reality TV transparency, accountability, and equity.

Miss World Delegates & Fortune Infra Support Hyderabad Orphans via KC Pullaiah Foundation
Hyderabad, June 05, 2025 — In an afternoon marked by warmth, joy, and heartfelt interaction, Hyderabad welcomed contestants of the 72nd Miss World 2025 pageant for a special outreach event held at the Trident Hotel. Far from the glamour of the pageant stage, this gathering focused on community, compassion, and meaningful conversations — especially for over 200 visually impaired children and orphans from various parts of Telangana. Organized by Dr. Rama Krishna of Fortune Hospitality and Sudeeksha Estates in collaboration with the Miss World Organization, this event served as a platform for bridging cultures, sharing stories, and initiating real impact. The initiative was further supported by the Miss World Organization, with Chairperson Julia Morley and reigning Miss World Krystyna Pyszkova in attendance. Unlike conventional formal ceremonies, the ballroom of the hotel was transformed into an open, inclusive space where children sat in small groups with the international contestants. What followed was a spontaneous exchange of experiences — discussions on dreams, questions about life journeys, and lots of laughter that echoed well beyond the ballroom walls. The children came from backgrounds marked by hardship, but their curiosity was boundless. They asked the contestants questions ranging from their decision to enter the Miss World pageant to how they handled challenges and responsibilities on a global platform. Miss World Krystyna Pyszkova shared words of encouragement, while Chairperson Julia Morley emphasized the value of perseverance, kindness, and believing in one's potential. One of the most moving moments of the day came from Miss Nigeria, Joy Mojisola Raimi, who candidly spoke about losing her mother at a young age. 'I know what it feels like to be left out,' she told the young audience. 'But life finds a way. Today, I stand here representing my country. If I can do it, so can you.' Similarly, Miss Philippines, Krishnah Marie Gravidez, who was surrounded by a group of smiling students taking selfies, shared her admiration for the children. 'These kids are among the most adorable I've ever met. There's something special here — a connection you can't explain, only feel.' Miss Estonia, Eliise Randmaa, who has worked on child welfare through her "Beauty with a Purpose" initiative, reflected on how events like these create lifelong impressions. 'Sharing even a small moment with these children reminds me why we do what we do. While the day brought emotional fulfillment to the attendees, it also marked the beginning of a major transformation for the Victoria Memorial School. During the event, Mr. Ramakrishna, Chairman and Managing Director of Fortune Infra Group, handed over a cheque of ₹2 crore (5 Lakhs donated by Vamsiram Builders, 10 Lakhs donated by Cyber City & 1.85cr by Dr. Rama Krishna) to Mr. Anil Kumar, Secretary of the KC Pullaiah Foundation. KC Pullaiah Foundation — established in 2008 and renamed in 2012 in honor of its visionary founder — has been instrumental in advancing education, health, skill development, environmental sustainability, and social inclusion across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The foundation has impacted over 1. 5 lakh beneficiaries through its flagship initiatives such as the Vidvatta Program (scholarships for meritorious students), Aarogyam (free clinics and nutrition support for children living with HIV), and the KC Pullaiah Skill Development Centers. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Anil Kumar said, 'The school has been in dire need of renovation for years. This generous contribution will help us provide the children with the infrastructure they deserve. We are committed to completing the project within one year.' A joint committee will be formed, consisting of representatives from Victoria Memorial School, Fortune Infra Group, and the KC Pullaiah Foundation, to monitor and guide the progress of the renovation work. The project is expected to begin shortly and will be carried out with a strong emphasis on safety, accessibility, and educational functionality. This donation is earmarked for the complete renovation of the school's heritage building, which currently houses over 900 children. The structure, though historic, has become unsafe and obsolete. With this timely financial support, it will now be transformed into a safer, more nurturing space for education and growth. As part of the outreach, each student received a carefully curated gift kit containing books, woollen clothing, pearl necklaces, and other meaningful keepsakes. For many of the children, it was the first time they interacted with people from so many different cultures and backgrounds — a rare and joyful experience. What stood out the most, however, was not the material gifts, but the human connection. As the formalities concluded, music played softly in the background and the ballroom quickly turned into a lively dance floor. Children and contestants danced together, their smiles reflecting a sense of freedom and joy that words could hardly capture. In her closing remarks, Julia Morley, Chairperson of the Miss World Organization, praised the initiative and its impact. 'The essence of Miss World lies in using influence for good. Today's event reflects exactly that. It's not just about titles — it's about touching lives.' The event has set a meaningful precedent for how global platforms like Miss World can play a role in community development, especially when supported by local organisations like Fortune Infra Group and the KC Pullaiah Foundation. For the children of Victoria Memorial School, the day brought much more than excitement — it brought hope, representation, and the promise of a better future.
