Walmart continues expansion into Florida with Milton store
MILTON, Fla. (WKRG) — Milton is the newest site of Walmart in Florida, and is the second ground-up Walmart in Florida in the last month and a half.

According to a news release, the Walmart Neighborhood Market, located at 6275 US Highway 90, will celebrate its grand opening Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. and will include a number of guest appearances, performances and family-friendly activities.
The Milton High School band will perform and the Milton High School ROTC will present the colors, followed by community donation check presentations, the release said.
Former Florida State University football player Charlie Ward, who went on to play for the NBA and is now one of the head coaches of the Florida A&M Rattlers men's basketball team, will arrive at 8:45 and the first 200 customers in line by 7 a.m. will receive a signed mini football, according to the release.
Additionally, local musician Anna McElroy will perform, the store's pharmacist will give free health screenings and food and beverage samples will be available from Coke, Pepsi, Frito Lay, Takis, Bimbo and more, the release said.
The Milton store boasts wide aisles, more hot case options in the deli, an attached Walmart liquor store, as well as pickup and delivery options – including pharmacy delivery, a health services room at the pharmacy and a mother's room for nursing mothers, according to the release.

The fuel station, with eight pumps allowing service to 16 people at one time, is already open, the release said.
