Vehicle mounts curb, driver blows 3x over legal limit: Barrie police
Police in Barrie arrested a woman accused of driving nearly three times over the legal alcohol limit and mounting a curb on Anne Street North Thursday night.
According to police, the woman was found by officers walking away from her vehicle 'and appeared unsteady on her feet.' The officers spoke with the woman, who they claim was obviously impaired.
Police say she was arrested and taken to the station where a series of tests were conducted, allegedly determining the 47-year-old woman from Alliston had a blood alcohol concentration well above the legal limit.
The accused was later released from custody and will have to appear in court to answer to the impaired driving charge at a later date.
As a result of the offence, her vehicle will be impounded for seven days and her licence was suspended for 90 days.
