Antanom Sports House champions

SIPITANG: The Antanom Sports House (green) emerged as the champion of the 20th School Sports Championship of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Merintaman, held at the Sipitang Sports Complex on Wednesday. They successfully collected 12 gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze medals. The Mat Salleh Sports House (red) secured second place with 6 golds, 11 silvers and 3 bronzes, while the Tun Mustapha House (yellow) finished in third place with 4 golds, 5 silvers and 13 bronzes. Muhammad Ruzain Ahza Mohd Rizuan from the Antanom House and Nurnabila Alias from the Mat Salleh House were crowned the male and female athletes of the championship, respectively. The championship, participated by 184 students and involving 27 events, was officiated by the Assistant District Education Officer of Sipitang, Unit for Student Talent Development, Muhammad Zulfadhli Amir, who represented the Sipitang Education Officer. He congratulated all the teachers for their commitment in organising the championship and to the winners. He highlighted that SK Merintaman is the first national school to hold a sports event in the district and is one of the schools that proudly has a large number of parents attending to support their children.
