Salman Khan Pays Tribute To Jai Ho Co-Star Mukul Dev: "Miss You, My Dear Brother"
New Delhi: Salman Khan paid tribute to his Jai Ho co-star Mukul Dev, who died at the age of 54 on Friday night. Salman Khan remembered the late actor by sharing an old photo from the sets of their 2014 film Jai Ho on his Instagram Stories. Alongside the picture, he wrote, "Miss you, my dear brother Mukul. Rest in peace." The final rites of Mukul Dev were performed on May 24 at the Lodhi Crematorium in Delhi's Nizamuddin area. Mukul was last seen in the Hindi film Anth The End. He was the younger brother of actor Rahul Dev. Born in New Delhi to a Punjabi family, Mukul Dev had roots in a village near Jalandhar. His father, Hari Dev, served as an assistant commissioner of police and introduced him to Afghan culture. He was fluent in Pashto and Persian. Mukul Dev's first experience with performance came while he was in Class 8, when he impersonated Michael Jackson in a dance show organised by Doordarshan. He received his first pay cheque for this act. He was also a trained pilot, having studied at the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi. Mukul began his acting career in television with the serial Mumkin in 1996, playing the role of Vijay Pandey. He later appeared in Doordarshan's Ek Se Badh Kar Ek, a Bollywood countdown comedy show, and also hosted the first season of Fear Factor India. He made his film debut with Dastak, where he played ACP Rohit Malhotra. The film also marked the acting debut of former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen.

Deepshikha Nagpal on Mukul Dev's demise: It is unbelievable
Actress Deepshikha Nagpal has mourned the sudden loss of her friend and co-star Mukul Dev , expressing disbelief and deep sorrow. She remembers him as a kind soul and talented actor, praying for strength for his family. Mukul Dev passed away at the age of 54 on Friday night. And his friends reached his house on Saturday as they got to know about his demise. The cause of the actor's death could not be ascertained at the time of filing of this report. Kishwer Merchant remembers late friend Mukul Dev; says 'talking about your daughter used to be your favourite thing'
The unexpected passing of television and Bollywood actor Mukul Dev has left his family, friends, and industry peers in deep shock. As per reports, the actor had been unwell and hospitalised for the past 8–10 days before he breathed his last on May 23. Actress Kishwer Merchant , who had worked with Mukul Dev before and knew him well, is deeply saddened by the news of his death. The actress shared a story on her Instagram account, remembering the late actor and expressed his grief at his sudden demise. She wrote, "Had not met u since ages... but a picture of u would always bring a smile on my face... kaise u use to imitate me, make fun of me, your stories, your energy during night shifts, and how talking about your daughter use to be Ur favourite thing!" She further added, "Mukli is what I called u, today your pic has made me sad... very sad! RIP my friend! Strength to your family to deal with this unbearable loss!" Mukul's last rites took place in Delhi today in the presence of his close family and friends. His brother Rahul Dev looked devastated at the last rites. New Delhi: Mukul Dev who is credited with films like Son of Sardaar, R... Rajkumar, and Jai Ho, passed away last night in Delhi, at the age of 54. Mukul Dev was actor Rahul Dev's younger brother. Rahul took to Instagram to share an official family statement on the sad demise of Mukul. The post read, "Our brother Mukul Dev passed away peacefully in New Delhi last night.
