Fatal shooting: SIU investigates after boat operator was shot by police

A man in Turkey Point has been killed after he was shot by two OPP officers.
The Special Investigations Unit is investigating the incident which happened this Tuesday. At approximately 1:00 p.m., officers attempted to stop a personal watercraft.
Allegedly, the 22-year-old operator headed to the marina, exited the watercraft and ran into bushes beside the marina. Officers set up a perimeter, and after an interaction with the man, one officer fired an Anti-Riot Weapon ENField and another officer discharged his firearm.
According to SIU, the man was struck by both firearms and pronounced dead on scene.
