KPIT opens software engineering centre in Tunisia
KPIT Technologies has opened a new software engineering centre in Sfax, Tunisia , aimed at expanding its delivery capabilities in the mobility sector . The facility will serve as a hub for software development, with a focus on propulsion systems , vehicle network development and validation. The company said the Tunisia centre would act as a nearshore base for global automotive clients and strengthen its existing workforce in the country, which currently stands at over 500 employees. 'Mobility leaders around the world are navigating complex transformations—dynamic trade environments, needing to innovate at speed and scale while substantially saving costs,' said Anup Sable, chief technology officer at KPIT Technologies . 'Our new centre in Tunisia will be developed as a centre of excellence to drive innovation in propulsion software, vehicle network development, validation and further expand in other domains. The centre will also become strategic to deliver for European OEMs with location and time zone advantages for agility and scale,' he added. The company said the Sfax centre is strategically located to attract software engineering talent in Tunisia and will offer opportunities to work on global mobility projects . KPIT has operated in Tunisia for several years and continues to invest in growing its local presence. Namia Ayadi, president of the Tunisia Investment Authority , said, 'The establishment of KPIT in Tunisia … further strengthens our appeal as a prime destination for cutting-edge technology investments.' KPIT's delivery network spans the US, Germany, France, Japan, China, Thailand and India, and the company has longstanding partnerships with automotive clients across major global markets.
