Aokabi Saya's "Mille Crepe 2"

Painter Aokabi Saya's solo exhibition, 'Mille Crepe 2' will feature approximately 16 new pieces from Aokabi. Aokabi's works, which incorporate elements of Japanese commerical animation from the 1990s, are the product of her outstanding artistic skill. The 'Flat' pair of pieces and the 'Outline' series, in which she has no contours, depict the amusing aspects of an image that becomes independent as it distances itself from control by elements she did not intend. The 'Process' series, on the other hand, visualizes the process of the image, sharing information with the viewer and questioning the essence of art. During the event, limited edition products commemorating the exhibition will also be sold. Prior to the general public opening, a media preview and opening reception will be held on Thursday, June 12.
