Shilpa mentioned that after staying in the Bigg Boss 18 house, she doesn't spend much time in the kitchen and only uses three ingredients to cook her food. This move even left her husband surprised. Shilpa Shirodkar told Zoom, 'My husband travels a lot, and he was here recently and making some mutton curry. I was travelling then. He called me and said, 'There's nothing in the house.'" She added, 'I said, 'What do you mean?' He said, 'There is no akhha garam masala.' I said, 'Oh, I don't use it anymore.' He said, 'You have gone mad.' I said, 'But the food is great otherwise as well, so why do you need so many ingredients?'" Shilpa Shirodkar is married to Aparesh Ranjit, a banker and double MBA. In the same chat, she also opened up about her husband's support in her life. Shilpa and Aparesh used to live in New Zealand, but moved back to India after the actor lost her parents and needed to be closer to her sister, Shilpa Shirodkar. She shared, 'He is a banker by profession, and it's a very different industry, and I have a lot of regard for his kind of work, and he has a lot of regard for my kind of work. In 2009, when we made the shift, my husband was in the best phase of his career, and he knew that I was going through emotional trauma, and I was a wreck, and he knew that it was important for me to come back home and just be around my sister. He said, 'Don't worry about work, it will happen, let's go back home.'" 'The most important thing is respect for each other, which has lasted. Because I personally believe that initially, there is love in any relationship, but it's the respect that lasts forever," she shared, reflecting on their long-lasting marriage. Once an actor, Shilpa opened up about her transformative life journey following her departure from acting. After marrying banker Aparesh Ranjit, the couple moved from the Netherlands to New Zealand. In search of something fulfilling, Shilpa enrolled in a hairdressing course - something she felt was still linked to her acting on Gauahar Khan's podcast MaaaNoranjan, Shirodkar shared, 'To keep myself busy, I did a hairdressing course in New Zealand. It felt connected to acting in some way - with makeup and beauty and all that,' she shared. She even worked at a salon for two months, but the demanding hours didn't align with her newlywed no corporate experience, Shilpa decided to pivot once again. 'I told my husband, 'Make my resume,'' she recalled. When asked what to include, her only instruction was, 'Don't lie - just put the truth, even SSC fail and my film work.' Her honesty paid off - she received two job offers in a single day. She eventually took up a position as a credit controller at Dun & Bradstreet, stepping into a world completely unfamiliar to her.
