Kaizer Chiefs news: Midfield boost eyed, Transfer activity picks up

Kaizer Chiefs have stepped up their transfer activity in recent weeks, focusing on strengthening their midfield options. The club is keen to add creativity and depth in the middle of the park as they prepare for a demanding season. While much of the spotlight has been on defensive and attacking reinforcements, Kaizer Chiefs understand that midfield control will be key to their success. The club is reported to be tracking several young talents who could inject energy and skill. Meanwhile, it appears AmaKhosi have given up on their pursuit for Stellenbosch left-back Fawaaz Basadien. 'Yes, there are youngsters who have been promoted to the senior team and will be traveling with the team to the Netherlands but Aphiwe (Baliti) has more experience than them in the top flight and that's why they are considering him as it is believed they (Chiefs) can't get Fawaaz Basadien or Mohamed Hussein at the moment,' a source revealed. Kaizer Chiefs are working hard behind the scenes to balance experience and youth. Adding versatile midfielders will give the coach more tactical options and help sustain performance levels throughout the season. Supporters eagerly await official announcements as the transfer window draws to a close. Kaizer Chiefs fans want reassurance that the club is assembling a squad capable of competing for silverware. Chiefs know that strong midfield presence will be critical in their quest to challenge for the league crown. Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 0211. Kaizer Chiefs transfer news: Chislett, Baliti, Bobby, Basadien, Tau

Kaizer Chiefs are set to have a busy transfer window with close to 10 players expected to be coming to Naturena. Last season, the Soweto giants signed a total of 10 players but only a few made changes to the club. With five players released, the club aims to make space for quality players in the coming ways. Amakhosi will fly to the Netherlands for their pre-season training, where they will play several friendly matches. It's no secret that Amakhosi are interested in Bafana Bafana left-back Fawaaz Basadien. It appears though that the Glamour boys might have to look elsewhere with Stellebosch seeking atleast R10 million for their talented defender. Soccer Laduma reported that Kaizer Chiefs were looking to sign SuperSport United defender Aphiwe Baliti. 'Oh yes, the department which deals with recruitment and scouting is happy and they have advanced their approach in the search to sign Aphiwe (Baliti). Apparently, first it was that they were interested but then they had to do analysis and assess the player in their own way to see if he can fit into Kaizer Chiefs' philosophy and style and they apparently believe he can and that's why they are prepared to move to the second step in pursuing his signature,' the insider told the publication. With the PSL transfer window opening soon, expect Kaizer Chiefs to make last minute signings as Nasreddine Nabi would have had time to assess his squad. A second insider told Soccer Laduma that Amakhosi were still looking for another left-back despite having youngsters promoted to the senior team. 'Yes, there are youngsters who have been promoted to the senior team and will be traveling with the team to the Netherlands but Aphiwe (Baliti) has more experience than them in the top flight and that's why they are considering him as it is believed they can't get Fawaaz Basadien or Mohamed Hussein at the moment,' the second source revealed. This week, reports have indicated that Chiefs have completed the signing of UK-based midfielder Ethan Chislett. The Durban-born footballer recently left Port Vale in England, and is expected to be announced as one of Amakhosi's new signings. Another player linked to Kaizer Chiefs is Percy Tau however it seems that the winger might return to the Middle East when the transfer window opens.
