The Summer I Turned Pretty: Love Blooms (and Taylor Swift Plays) in New Season 3 Trailer
The Summer I Turned Pretty will end… this summer. The third and final, 11-episode season of Prime Video's YA series will premiere Wednesday, July 16. This time, it's 'Daylight' and 'Red (Taylor's Version).' You can watch it above. The series, based on creator/showrunner Jenny Han's book trilogy, revolves around the love triangle between 16-year-old Isabel 'Belly' Conklin (played by Lola Tung) and the Fisher brothers, broody Conrad (Christopher Briney) and easygoing Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), with whom Belly has grown up. The upcoming season will chronicle the events of Han's third (and final) book, We'll Always Have Summer. In the Season 2 finale, which dropped August 18, 2023, Belly released Conrad from her heart and began a relationship with Jeremiah. Reflecting on Belly decision, star Lola Tung told TVLine, 'I think that her choice made sense for her in the moment. She's been through a lot with both of them, and I think she's realized that, at that time, Conrad has not shown her that he will ever be willing to fight for that relationship as much as she will. 'Here's Jeremiah, ready to fight for her, continuing to fight for her, just proving, I think, constantly how much he loves her and cares about her, even in watching her be with Conrad for so long,' Tung continued, adding that Jeremiah 'is the person that she is falling in love with' at the moment. In Season 3, 'it's the end of her junior year of college, and Belly's looking forward to another summer in Cousins with her soulmate, Jeremiah,' reads the official synopsis. 'Her future seems set, until some core-shaking events bring her first love Conrad back into her life. Now on the brink of adulthood, Belly finds herself at a crossroads and must decide which brother has her heart. Summer will never be the same…' As for whether fans can expect the final season to follow the last book and end with [spoiler], 'there are going to be surprises,' Han told Entertainment Weekly. 'There are the things that they know and then there are things they think they know, and then there's going to be, hopefully, things that surprise them.' Boston Blue: Everything We Know So Far About the Blue Bloods Offshoot
At least one Reagan family member's story will continue to be told when Boston Blue debuts on CBS. Ordered to series on Feb. 18 — two months after Blue Bloods ended its well-watched, 14-season run — Boston Blue finds franchise vet Donnie Wahlberg reprising his role as veteran police detective Danny Reagan. Boston Blue since Day 1 has been described as a 'universe expansion of the long-running top drama Blue Bloods,' in part because its premise was born of an entirely unrelated project. As Deadline reported, the only Donnie Wahlberg-led Blue Bloods offshoot that had been pitched (but got passed on) would have transplanted Danny Reagan to Texas. Boston Blue showrunners Brandon Sonnier and Brandon Margolis, meanwhile, had independently developed a series that would follow a family of cops in Boston whose eldest daughter is partnered with a new transfer from LAPD. NYPD vet Danny is now that transfer. In Boston Blue, Donnie Wahlberg's Danny Reagan takes a position with the Boston PD. Once in Boston, he is paired with detective Lena Silvers, the eldest daughter of a prominent law enforcement family. Thus far, Donnie Wahlberg is the only Blue Bloods vet confirmed to appear on the spinoff universe expansion — though there surely will be mentions of the Reagan fam and friends back in New York, if not some flesh-and-blood cameos… eventually. 'Danny's story will continue the Reagan family's. You can't have Danny without Reagans,' Wahlberg said at a May press event. 'No Blue Bloods fans will be disappointed,' Wahlberg avowed, reiterating: 'We are really working on this universe in a way that I think the Blue Bloods viewers are going to be very happy.' First and foremost, Sonequa Martin-Green (Star Trek: Discovery, The Walking Dead) will star alongside Donnie Wahlberg as Detective Lena Silver, the eldest daughter of a prominent law enforcement family. Additionally, Ernie Hudson (NBC's Quantum Leap reboot) has been cast as Lena's grandfather, Reverend Peters, a renowned pastor of a historic Baptist church in Boston; Psych vet Maggie Lawson will play Boston PD Superintendent Sarah Silver, Lena's 'strong-willed' and 'decisive' stepsister; Gloria Reuben (ER) will play Mae Silver, family matriarch and Boston's District Attorney; and Marcus Scribner (black-ish) will play Jonah, Lena and Sarah's rookie cop brother. Fact is, precious few scripted TV series have ever made camp in Boston, with Robert Urich's mid-1980s crime drama, Spenser: For Hire, being one of the exceptions. ABC' A Million Little Things (see photo above) was famously set in Boston (however devoid as it was of any accents) but filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia. Even Blue Bloods patriarch Tom Selleck's Massachusetts-based Jesse Stone TV movies were filmed in Nova Scotia. Boston Blue will do some filming in Boston, but production will be based out of Toronto, Ontario (that's in Canada). Filming begins July 10. When CBS unveiled its fall schedule, there Boston Blue was, confirmed for a fall debut and calling Blue Bloods' old Fridays-at-10/9c time slot home. There, Boston Blue will lead out of Sheriff Country and that freshman spinoff's sire, Fire Country. CBS typically sets fall premieres dates by mid-July, and TVLine will of course keep you posted on when, exactly, Boston Blue will debut. Ratings: Tony Awards Surge 38% to Biggest Audience Since 2019
CBS will be telling the story of Tonys night for some time…. America's Most Watch Network's presentation of the 78th Tony Awards on Sunday night averaged 4.85 million total viewers, an increase of 38% year-over-year to mark the biggest audience since 2019 for the telecast. (In 2020, there was no formal Tonys ceremony.) In the demos, this year's Tonys saw gains of 91% with the 25-54 crowd, 107% among Adults 18-49 and 147% with those age 18-34. This year's telecast was hosted by Tony Award winner and Wicked star Cynthia Erivo, with Maybe Happy Ending emerging as the big winner and the original Broadway cast of Hamilton reuniting for a medley commemorating the hit musical's 10th anniversary. Last year, Academy Award winner Ariana DeBose lorded over a ceremony where Stereophonic and The Outsiders grabbed the most trophies.

Casting News: Outlander Star Joins The Forsytes, Rings of Power Adds Trio and More
The Forsytes just added a second season to its stateside run, and it'll bring an Outlander star with it. Richard Rankin has joined the TV adaptation of John Galsworthy's books, which was renewed for Season 2 at Masterpiece on PBS Thursday, the network announced.
