Iran-linked ‘retired' hackers threaten new email leaks of Donald Trump allies, list includes pornstar Stormy Daniels

Hackers tied to Iran have reportedly threatened to release additional emails allegedly stolen from associates of US President Donald Trump. According to a report by news agency Reuters, the hackers—who use the alias 'Robert'—claimed to possess about 100GB of emails from accounts belonging to White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Trump attorney Lindsey Halligan, longtime Trump adviser Roger Stone and adult film star and Trump critic Stormy Daniels. While Robert suggested the material may be for sale, they offered no specifics about their plans or the content of the emails. US Attorney General Pam Bondi condemned the breach as 'an unconscionable cyber-attack.' 'Robert' retired but came back during Iran-Israel conflict The development comes following an earlier leak shared with media outlets in the run-up to the 2024 US election, claiming to have breached email accounts belonging to several Trump allies, including Wiles. They distributed portions of the stolen emails to journalists. After Trump's victory, Robert had told Reuters that no further leaks were planned, stating as recently as May, 'I am retired, man.' However, the group resurfaced after this month's 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran, which culminated in US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites. White House and FBI issue joint statement The White House and FBI issued a joint statement from FBI Director Kash Patel 'Anyone associated with any kind of breach of national security will be fully investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,' he said. The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) dismissed the hackers' actions as propaganda. 'This so-called cyber 'attack' is nothing more than digital propaganda. The targets are no coincidence. This is a calculated smear campaign meant to damage President Trump and discredit honorable public servants who serve our country with distinction,' they stated on X. US lawmakers raise alarm over data collection by OnePlus without users' permission: Report

Image for representation purpose Two U.S. lawmakers have asked the US Commerce Department to investigate Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus over alleged security concerns. According to a Reuters report, representatives John Moolenaar and Raja Krishnamoorthi sent a letter to the department raising concerns that OnePlus devices may be collecting sensitive user data without consent and sending it to China-owned servers. The letter claims that OnePlus smartphones may be gathering personal data, including "transfers of sensitive personal information and screenshots," without users' explicit permission. The lawmakers wrote, 'This investigation would determine the types of information being collected by OnePlus devices.' They cited a commercial analysis that reportedly found the data collection patterns and flagged them as potentially unsafe. The information, according to the lawmakers, 'indicates' that OnePlus may be sending this data to servers owned by entities in China. This isn't the first time the US government has raised red flags over Chinese tech companies. In 2020, Huawei faced federal charges including racketeering and intellectual property theft. The company received temporary relief from U.S. trade bans but continued to face scrutiny under national security laws. The TikTok controversy in 2022 followed a similar path, with officials accusing the app of sharing sensitive user data with its Chinese parent company, ByteDance. At the time, U.S. FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr stated, 'It harvests swaths of sensitive data that new reports show is being accessed in Beijing.' The call to investigate OnePlus echoes ongoing concerns over how Chinese-owned tech firms handle U.S. consumer data and whether that data could be accessed by foreign governments. Jeff Bezos' wife Lauren Sanchez flaunts $4 million ring after wedding in Venice

Image source: Reuters Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez three-day wedding celebrations in Venice, Italy concluded last week. The couple made headlines not just for the lavish three-day wedding in Venice, Italy, but also for the eye-catching engagement and wedding rings. As the newlyweds left the Aman Venice hotel, Sanchez was seen flaunting two massive diamond rings — one on each hand — sparking widespread buzz online. Lauren Sanchez's wedding ring cost Close-up photos showed Lauren Sanchez wearing two huge diamond rings — one on each hand. One ring looked like a pillow-shaped diamond and the other had an oval-shaped stone. Jewellery expert Zack Stone from Steve Stone Jewellers said one of the rings seems to have a 20-carat cushion-cut diamond set on a shiny platinum band. It is likely the engagement ring that Bezos used to propose in 2023. The ring was then valued at $2.5 million. The oval-shaped ring on her right hand is estimated to be worth around $4 million. Jewellery influencer Julia Chafe shared a video on June 28 discussing the rings worn by Sanchez during the celebration. 'She wore one gigantic ring per hand,' Julia said, adding that both pieces are by celebrity jewellery designer Lorraine Schwartz. 'Given its unique colour, rarity, and size, the ring is estimated to be worth between $4 and $5 million,' an expert told Harper's Bazaar. Julia also described a second diamond ring worn by Sanchez. 'Rumour has it this upgraded ring is 30 carats,' she said. 'Yes, the setting of that ring is scaring me a lot, but I think that's what I love so much about it… I am overwhelmed.' Jeff Bezos' wedding: Return gifts for guests The three-day wedding celebrations concluded with a finale party dubbed as 'Dolce Notte' or 'Sweet Night'. The party witnessed A-list celebrity guests donning sleepwear couture for the music night, glamour and thoughtful gifts. The billionaire couple gave some custom Amazon swag return gifts to the guests. The male guests at the party received plush blue velvet Venetian slippers from Vibi Venezia. On the other hand, the female guests got black open-toe slippers from Amazon. The gifts, Sanchez told Vogue, were designed to reflect the personalities of the couple.'So you have a little of both!' she added. AT&T to Donald Trump: We are not to be blamed for your troubled conference call, check your…

US President Donald Trump took to his social media platform Truth Social to criticise AT&T after experiencing technical issues during a conference call with faith leaders across the country. In the post, Trump claimed that the telecom giant failed to ensure its equipment worked properly, leading to disruptions in the call. Trump wrote: 'I'm doing a major Conference Call with Faith Leaders from all over the Country, and AT&T is totally unable to make their equipment work properly.' 'This is the second time it's happened. If the Boss of AT&T, whoever that may be, could get involved — It would be good. There are tens of thousands of people on the line!,' he added. After his original post, Trump shared another post on Truth Social where he wrote: 'I apologize for the long wait on the Faith Leaders Conference Call. AT&T ought to get its act together. Please pass along the word to the tens of thousands of people who are there. We may have to reschedule the call, but we'll use another carrier the next time. AT&T obviously doesn't know what they're doing!'. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Os reformados podem beneficiar de aparelhos auditivos invisíveis Aparelhos Auditivo PT Undo Trump's post was later shared by Karoline Leavitt, White House Press Secretary on microblogging site X (formerly Twitter). Telecom giant AT&T responded to the post, stating 'We've reached out to the White House and are working to quickly understand and assess the situation.' In a followup post, the company clarified that the issue did not stem from its network. 'Our initial analysis indicates the disruption was caused by an issue with the conference call platform, not our network. Unfortunately, this caused the delay, and we are working diligently to better understand the issue so we can prevent disruptions in the future,' AT&T said. What do iOS 26 and the 90-degree Bhopal bridge have in common? Some poor taste

Last week, two designs shook us all on social media — the design of the Apple iOS 26 with its Liquid Glass material, and the design of that bridge in Bhopal. If you don't know what I am talking about, look at the two photos embedded within this article. People asked, how can Apple do this? (I don't agree with this sentiment, though). Similarly, almost everyone who saw the photo said, how can the city of Bhopal do this? I agree with this this is not a piece about iOS 26 or that bridge. Or for that matter, the great clock tower of Bihar Sharif, an image of which is also embedded down below after a few paragraphs. It is about taste! Because whether you like iOS 26 or not, whether you laud the Bhopal bridge or not, whether you admire the sunset at the Bihar Sharif tower or not, all of that depends on your taste. Or the lack of it. In some instances, people are finding the early beta version of iOS 26 ugly and unusable. Taste is one of those things, like gravity, which simply exists and, in a major way, shapes the world around us. And yet it is, just like gravity, extremely difficult to comprehend and pin down. For reasons, some of which are apparent and some not, 'taste' is particularly a challenging concept for us over here in It is as if we don't have any taste, which is 110% ironic in the country of pepper and cardamom. Okay, not that taste, though in food too we can do better if we move away from the grisly tomato puree and add a smattering of flavour and textures. It sounds rather hyperbolic but it is evidently accurate. We lack taste. Earlier, various Indian societies, from ancient regimes to mediaeval kingdoms, had a sense of taste. But I feel modern India has no overarching taste or sense of aesthetics and that is apparent in everything we social media, as the images of the Bhopal bridge, with its sharp, almost 90-degree turn, started to do the rounds, people slammed the bridge for its technical failings. The design is poor, someone said, because it would lead to accidents. It is a bad design because it is going to be unusable to certain kinds of vehicles, many argued. Images of the Bhopal bridge, with its sharp, almost 90-degree turn, went viral on social media (Photo: X) The authorities then tried to explain. The India Today report cited an official saying that the bridge was alright because it was going to be used only by pedestrians and light vehicles. But very few actually got to the taste part: the bridge is absolutely junk, not because it lacks utility. It is junk because it is a product of zero taste. And because it is a product of zero taste, it lacks utility. This is the exact thing that happened - apart from corruption, of course, and which is endemic in India - with the clock tower in Bihar Sharif. That too is the result of zero taste. Clock tower in Bihar Sharif (Photo: Shubham_Neuro/X) We have ugly cities with ugly buildings, ugly products, ugly designs, ugly everything because, as a country, we have no taste. Individually, we might have some, but as a country we have zero taste. For us, everything starts with utility. The failures of imagination and taste lie in the very beginning. We have got it backwards. We believe that first, something needs to be useful, and then it needs to be tasteful. Instead, the correct approach - the approach followed by societies once they move beyond subsistence - is to start with taste and then move to we will do beautiful things.' These are the words that belong to Antoni Gaudi, the man who fused nature with the human world, and in the process, remade Barcelona. In India, we wake up and never think of beauty. We wake up and think that we will do useful things then we go out and do things without any taste. Indian manufacturers create stuff that is made without any taste. Indian tech companies build apps and software that are ugly and utilitarian because they have no taste. We build skyscrapers and monolithic buildings, such as our new Parliament, and again there is no taste. We make movies that have shoddy cinematography. There is not a single director who can produce frames that Pedro Almodovar or Wes Anderson can create. In our country, every flair, every flourish, every expression that aims to transcend the banality of daily drudgery is considered an excess or a result is a tasteless society that wears down our spirits and senses with its dreadfulness and tyranny of utility. There are few sights in our cities that can soothe our souls. There is very little in our experiences that we can find beautiful. In fact, in daily life, there is an assault of tastelessness on our senses. The utensils and appliances in India lack flair. There is not a single Dieter Ram or Naoto Fukasawa in our country, not even one who is a distant image of them. The cars, the houses, the goods inside the houses, the parks - the few that we have - and on the roads, everything is catastrophically ugly. It exacerbates our I understand that taste comes after abundance. When it is all about subsistence, beauty takes a backseat. Or like Immanuel Kant, who was also a purveyor of taste apart from being the father of modern morality, said, 'Only when men have got all they want can we tell who among the crowd has taste or not.' It is I also feel that there is enough money and means in India for it to start acquiring a taste. In the past, societies poorer than the current India made and created things with taste. That we in modern India lack this sense is not due to the lack of resources. We are just not thinking about taste at all, not even those who have money and can afford to do something about it. We are still putting an engineer in charge of making a bridge and never an architect, and until we keep doing that, we will keep creating more Bhopal bridges and clock towers in Bihar Anwer is Technology Editor, India Today Group Digital.
