Al-Ali appointed first vice president of the Arab Equestrian Federation
KUWAIT CITY, May 22: The inaugural meeting of the Arab Equestrian Federation marked a significant milestone with the appointment of Kuwaiti international referee Nabila Abdullah Al-Ali as First Vice President of the Board of Directors. The Kuwait Equestrian Federation's Board, led by Masoud Jawhar Hayat, extended its heartfelt congratulations to Nabila Al-Ali on earning the trust and confidence of the Arab Equestrian Federation's Board. Nabila Al-Ali, a prominent figure in the equestrian world, was also elected as a member of the Arab Equestrian Federation's Board of Directors. The Arab Federation is chaired by His Highness Prince Abdullah bin Fahd bin Abdullah Al Saud. The Board includes notable members such as Bader Al-Darwish (Qatar), Munther Al-Busaidi (Oman), Dr. Ismail Shaker (Egypt), Fareed Al-Subaie (Libya), and Fawzi Sahrawi (Algeria). Under the leadership of veteran athlete Masoud Jawhar Hayat, the Kuwait Equestrian Federation proudly congratulated Nabila Al-Ali on her appointment as First Vice President and for gaining the confidence of the Arab Federation Council.

Fourth Arab Tennis Veterans championship kicks off in Egypt
SHARM EL SHEIKH: The Fourth Arab Tennis Veterans championship organized by the Arab Tennis Federation, headed by Sheikh Ahmed Al Jaber Al Abdullah Al Sabah, in cooperation with the Egyptian Tennis Federation, headed by Captain Ismail Al Shafei, kicked off on the courts of the Soho Square tennis complex in the Egyptian city of Sharm El Sheikh, and will continue for four days. The Secretary of the Arab Federation, Engineer Ali Lafi Al-Mutairi, stated that the tournament is witnessing the participation of about 100 male and female players from 10 countries (Kuwait, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Bahrain, Yemen, Tunisia, Palestine, Libya and Algeria), explaining that the participating players from the State of Kuwait are: Adel Safar, Hussein Al Behbhani and Ahmed Dashti, and women: Asrar Abdul Majeed and Haya Al Hashim. Al-Mutairi added that the championship competitions were divided into several age groups, including over 35, 45, 55, 55, 65 and 70 years old for men, and over 35 and 45 years old for women. He also revealed that the winners of the men's and women's categories will receive two wildcards, which will qualify them to participate in five international tournaments organized by the Egyptian Federation under the supervision of the International Tennis Federation. In this context, Al Mutairi praised the role of ZSport, the official sponsor of the tournament, for its support and keenness to provide wildcards for the winners, which reflects its commitment to the development of tennis on the Arab level. Al-Mutairi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Egyptian Tennis Federation for hosting the tournament and providing all the ingredients for its success, praising in this aspect the great organizational efforts made by the Secretary General of the Arab and Egyptian Federations, Engineer Walid Samy, as well as the Pioneers Committee of the Arab Federation headed by Captain Ayman Azmy. At the end of his statement, the secretary of the Arab Federation praised the good organization and the fraternal and competitive atmosphere of the tournament, thanking all the participating players for the spirit of cooperation and keenness to present an honorable image of tennis in the Arab world.

Tunis Stock Exchange expects to list 3 companies in 2025: CEO
Tunisia's stock exchange hopes to welcome three new companies this year, including the offering of a 30% stake in Espérance Sportive de Tunis (EST) before the summer, Bilel Sahnoun, CEO of the Tunis Stock Exchange told Zawya on Tuesday. EST is one of the most famous sports clubs in Tunisia and Africa. It has established a holding company in preparation for its listing on the stock exchange. According to reports, it would be the first sports company to be listed on the local exchange. "We hope that by the end of 2025, three new (companies) will be added, including Espérance Sportive de Tunis and two others," Sahnoun told Zawya in a video interview on the sidelines of the annual conference of the Arab Federation of Capital Markets that was held in Tunisia on Tuesday and Wednesday. Arab volleyball championship to commence in Cairo

Success of Arab Clubs Championship and upcoming 44th edition Sheikh Ali commended the achievements of the Arab Clubs Championship held in Doha, which featured 15 teams. He revealed that the 44th edition will be held in Tunisia. Focus on development programmes Sheikh Ali also highlighted the Federation's commitment to developmental programs, referencing successful training courses for coaches and media professionals held in Manama, which included sessions on artificial intelligence.
