ASRY hosts Ramadan Ghabga for clients
The Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (ASRY) welcomed key clients, including representatives of shipowners and maritime asset operators, to a Ramadan Ghabga at the Gulf Hotel on Tuesday. The event was attended by senior figures from the company's management, led by Chief Executive Dr. Ahmed Al Abri. Dr. Al Abri said, "It is an honor to bring together our valued clients under one roof. We deeply value the steady backing we receive from our distinguished global partners, whose trust drives progress and long-term growth. Their support has enabled ASRY to stand apart, hold on to its standing, and maintain our reputation as a reliable name in shipbuilding and repair." ASRY welcomes young cancer fighters for ‘Captain's Day' with Smile Initiative
To mark International Childhood Cancer Day, observed every 15 February the Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (ASRY) held 'Captain's Day' in partnership with the Smile Initiative, a program under the Future Society for Youth that provides emotional and psychological support to children in Bahrain with cancer. As part of the event, ASRY welcomed a group of young cancer fighters, accompanied by their families, for a visit to the company's facilities. The children had the chance to step into the role of a ship's captain, taking part in an interactive experience aboard one of the docked vessels under repair. ASRY's Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, speaking on the sidelines of the event, praised the efforts of everyone involved, particularly the volunteers from the Smile Initiative, whose ongoing support has helped lift the spirits of children battling cancer and bring them moments of joy. He also reaffirmed the company's strong backing of humanitarian efforts aimed at making a meaningful difference for all members of the community. ASRY's collaboration with the Smile Initiative is part of its ongoing work to strengthen community partnerships and reinforce the values of generosity and solidarity, aiming to leave a lasting, positive mark on society and its people.

The company surpassed numerous regional competitors, securing the award due to its technical expertise and capability to deliver first-rate services that meet client needs. ASRY's CEO, Dr. Ahmed AlAbri, and Mohammed Sultan, the Business Development Manager, accepted the award on behalf of ASRY. This conference is one of the most prominent events in the maritime industry, bringing together experts and senior officials from ports, companies, and major institutions operating in global maritime shipping sectors.
