King Salman Academy Launches Arabic Language Exhibition in Riyadh
The King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language in Riyadh has launched the Arabic Language Exhibition to boost the status of Arabic Language, according to the Saudi Press Agency. The exhibition has brought together CEO of Human Capability Development Program Anas AlMudaifer, alongside specialists, academics, and representatives of several organizations. The event stands as a testament to the Kingdom's efforts to support the Arabic language, promote its teaching methods, and foster its presence in scientific and academic spheres. Furthermore, it seeks to highlight the history and evolution of the language and its outstanding contributions in science and arts. Through an engaging approach, the exhibition seeks to provide visitors with a comprehensive educational experience combining both authenticity and modernity. Gulf education chief visits Sharjah's Arabic language centre
Tour of key facilities and programmes The visit began with a comprehensive tour of the centre's facilities at University City in Sharjah, including its specialised library. Dr Al Muqbil reviewed the latest digital cataloguing and protection systems as well as recent research outputs. Highlights included frameworks for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, international assessment benchmarks, and resources focused on developing reading comprehension and creative language production in general education. Showcasing cultural depth and academic impact Dr Al Muqbil also explored the permanent Arabic Language Exhibition, which features interactive digital displays and showcases on classical poets, linguistic scholars, and major literary achievements. He later toured the training halls and theatre, and attended a video presentation outlining the centre's achievements since its founding in 2013, including research, training, conferences, and seminars. Praise for Sharjah's support and vision At the end of the visit, Dr Al Muqbil praised the centre's accomplishments and the dedication of its team, noting the advanced level it had reached in a short time. He also extended his deep appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, for his steadfast support of the centre and his leading cultural and educational vision to promote the Arabic language regionally and globally.
