Kyle MacLachlan Explains Why He Turned Down ‘AJLT' Role
There's nothing And Just Like That... loves more than a surprise Sex and the City return and/or cameo—I'm talking Samantha, Aiden, Bank Linda, etc. So why hasn't Trey, Charlotte's ex-husband, made an appearance? In a recent interview, Kyle MacLachlan explained why he turned down And Just Like That... and revealed what it would take to get him back in the Sex and the City universe. 'I would love to come back and have fun,' Kyle recently told Us Weekly. He just wants it to be for the right storyline. In fact, he explained that he turned down an offer to appear on And Just Like That... because he felt 'there should be more.' He continued, 'So I just said, 'I wonder if the relationship that Charlotte and Trey had demands a little more than their first idea.'' Fair enough! Rumors of a Trey comeback have been swirling since March, when Kristin Davis—aka Charlotte herself—revealed a scrapped storyline about the exes. 'There was an idea that Trey/Kyle would come on in And Just Like That... and then it didn't happen,' Kristin said on her podcast, Are You A Charlotte? At the time, she said, she called Kyle and asked him why he turned it down. 'He said, 'I just wanted it to be amazing,' meaning that it had a kind of almost sad note,' Kristin explained. Though she didn't reveal how exactly Trey would re-enter Charlotte's life in this proposed storyline, Kristin did say that it would explore her character's 'unfinished feeling' about her divorce. 'She really wants to see him, and I, Kristin, also feel that way. So I'm hoping that we can kind of revisit a 'maybe they run into each other just at an event or a restaurant' or something like that,' she said. It sounds like Kyle is hoping for a bit more than just a cameo appearance, though. Maybe, given his current health issues, Harry will need to see a cardiologist in the future? I hear Trey's very, very good.

'Sex and the City' star Kristin Davis says 'people are still mad at us' for killing Big on 'And Just Like That'
Much like Carrie did, Sex and the City viewers have had a tough time quitting Mr. Big. Kristin Davis, who played Charlotte on that HBO show, its movie adaptations, and its sequel series, And Just Like That , said as much on Monday's edition of iHeartPodcast's Are You A Charlotte?. "People, I think, are still mad at us, I think," Davis told her guest, Megan Thee Stallion, who had managed to avoid the news up to that point. They broached the subject as they talked about which man was supposed to be with Sarah Jessica Parker's main character, Carrie Bradshaw, in the saga. Was it John Corbett's Aidan, who Megan thought was "the person that she should have been with," or Chris Noth's Mr. Big, whom Bradshaw was married to when he died from a heart attack. Davis asked if she knew that Carrie and Aidan were still going on in the current Max series. The "Savage" artist did not, noting that she likes to watch things "on my own time." She asked if Big is still on the show, and Davis asked if she really wanted to know. "Something happened to him," Davis said. "Should I tell her?" Megan Thee Stallion wanted to be caught up. "He died," Davis explained. "I feel really bad. We killed him." Davis recounted that Big had died of a heart issue after working out on his Peloton bike. The death occurred in the very first episode of And Just Like That, which, in Davis' defense, aired in December 2021. It made sense, because the original series had been about Carrie — and her friends — searching for romance, and she had now permanently coupled up with the man who caused much of her apologized for the spoiler, but Megan Thee Stallion dismissed it. "If I would have been watching that show and saw that man die, I would have gagged," she said. Davis told her that she missed a lot in the movies, but Big died in AJLT. Even though the actress mixes up what happens where. However, the rapper concluded the choice to kill Big in the first episode was "so perfect." Listen to the full conversation above. Kristin Davis takes fashion inspiration from Sarah Jessica Parker
Kristin Davis hates to be "out of sync" with Sarah Jessica Parker. The 60-year-old actress has learned some important life lessons from her 'Sex and the City' co-star, explaining that she always has to "check in" with the actress before a red-carpet event. During the latest episode of her 'Are You a Charlotte?' podcast, Kristin explained: "I need to know what Sarah Jessica's gonna wear to our different events, because she might be wearing something that is, like, way dressier than what I pictured in my mind, and I hate to be out of sync with her." Kristin - who played Charlotte York in 'Sex and the City' - actually loves getting "dressed up" for work. The actress explained: "There's a part of me always, like, 'Oh my gosh, why do I have to dress up so much all the time?' But on the other hand, it's fun to dress up. "And in life, I really don't dress up at all. So when we haven't worked for a while, then we go back to work and we get to get in all the clothes, I love it so much, because I don't do it that much. And so I think it's a good thing to remember. Like, it can make you feel good to dress up." Meanwhile, Kristin previously admitted that she was unimpressed by the 'Sex and The City' pilot. The actress never imagined that the TV show would become so successful. Kristin said on the 'Are You A Charlotte?' podcast: "I was never a fan of the pilot. It didn't seem smooth. It seemed kind of choppy and hectic. "But I also feel my personal theory on pilots in general is that if they're too good - if the pilot is too formed - the show might not be good." Kristin also revealed that she was initially offered $5,000 to play a "recurring character" on the show. She shared: "One day, I'm in my trailer and she [a producer] knocks on my door and I opened it and she says, 'Oh, well, we have this paperwork we need you to fill out.' "And I was like, 'OK.' I take the paperwork and I look at it and it seems to be a new contract, but it's only two pages long, and I'm like, 'What is this?' And it says, 'You will be a recurring character and you will be paid $5,000.'"
