Suspect in Rolling Stones hoodie wanted in alleged shooting of 2 people in Logan Square
Chicago police are asking for the public's help with identifying the suspect they said shot two people in the Logan Square neighborhood on Friday afternoon. Just before 5 p.m., police said the suspect was walking southbound in the 2000 block of North St. Louis Avenue. At the end of an alley, the suspect allegedly fired shots in the northbound direction, hitting two people. Police said he then ran westbound in the south alley of Dickens Avenue and was last seen running northbound through a residence in the 3500 block of West Shakespeare Avenue. The suspect was described as a white or Hispanic man in his late teens to early 20s, with a medium build and long black hair. He was last seen wearing a hoodie with chrome hearts and a Rolling Stones blue tongue logo. Anyone with information about the suspect or his whereabouts is asked to contact Area 5 detectives at 312-746-6554 or submit an anonymous tip at using reference number JJ358007.

Man killed in Northwest Side traffic crash, police say
A man was killed early Friday morning in a crash on the city's Northwest Side. It happened just after 2 a.m. in the 3200 block of North Cumberland Avenue. Chicago police said a white vehicle, driven by a man between 40 and 48 years of age, was heading westbound on Belmont and Cumberland when he ran a traffic signal and hit a blue SUV heading northbound on Cumberland. The man was taken to Loyola Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The SUV driver, a 30-year-old man, was not hurt and refused medical attention. Police said no citations were issued. Area 5 detectives are investigating.

Man, 32, fatally shot in chest in Bucktown neighborhood, police say
A man was shot and killed early Saturday morning in the Bucktown neighborhood. It happened around 3 a.m. in the 2200 block of West Cortland Avenue, near Ehrler William Park. Chicago police said the victim, a 32-year-old man, was found by fire crews unresponsive, suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. They took him to St. Mary's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. What led up to the shooting remains unclear. No further information about the shooting was released. There is no one in custody. Chicago police warn of multiple burglaries involving work vans on Northwest Side
Chicago police issued an alert after multiple vans were burglarized overnight on the city's Northwest Side. Police said the burglaries happened in the North Park and Irving Park neighborhoods. In each incident, three suspects driving a silver four-door sedan approached the parked work vans, used a saw to cut the lock, took power tools from inside, and left the scene. A witness told police that each of the suspects was armed with a handgun. Man, 72, shot during attempted armed robbery in Belmont Cragin neighborhood
A 72-year-old man was hurt after being shot during an attempted armed robbery on the city's Northwest Side Friday night. It happened around 11:30 p.m. in the 5300 block of W. Belmont Avenue. Chicago police said the victim was parking his vehicle when an unknown armed man attempted to remove property from the victim through the vehicle's window. The victim opened his car door, and a struggle ensued between the two. That's when the gun fell to the ground and discharged, hitting the victim in the leg. The would-be robber ran from the scene. The victim self-transported to Community First Hospital in good condition. As of Saturday, there is no one in custody. Area 5 detectives are investigating.
