Armed robbers take cash, belongings from nail salons after receiving services, Chicago police say
Chicago police are looking for a pair of armed robbers who are targeting nail salons in downtown Chicago. Police said the two suspects have been involved in two incidents so far, one on May 28 in the 300 block of S. Dearborn Street in the Loop and one on June 1 in the 1600 block of S. Michigan Avenue on the Near South Side. In both incidents, which took place in the afternoon and early evening hours, police said a Black woman and Black man went to a nail salon and received services. When it came time to pay for their services, police say the suspects sprayed a "chemical irritant" at the employees, then took things from inside the spas, including envelopes with cash, purses and cell phones belonging to spa employees. The suspects are described as a Black woman, 20-30 years old, 5 ft. 5 in. tall and 220-240 lbs. and a Black man, 30-35 years old, 5 ft. 10 in. tall and 160-180 lbs. with a "physical impairment" on his right hand. Argument leads to shooting outside River North nightclub: CPD
CHICAGO – A man was shot during an argument outside a River North nightclub early Sunday morning. Chicago police said the shooting happened just after 4 a.m. in the 100 block of West Ontario Street. Parents of missing children plead for information on Mother's Day A 25-year-old man and an unknown male suspect got into an argument near an alley. Moments later, the suspect pulled out a gun and fired shots at the 25-year-old man, hitting him in the buttocks, according to investigators. Chicago police searching for 16-year-old girl missing from Rogers Park
CHICAGO — Chicago police are searching for a 16-year-old girl who is missing from Rogers Park. Jamila Young is described as 5'5' and 145 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen on Tuesday, April 29 in the 1600 block of West Estes Avenue. No known clothing description was provided by investigators. Two men killed, another hurt in drive-by shooting overnight in Edgewater
Two men are dead and another is hurt after an overnight drive-by shooting in the Edgewater neighborhood. It happened just before 1:30 a.m. in the 6300 block of North Broadway. Police scanner radio says the shooting happened at the Porkchop BBQ restaurant. Chicago police said officers responded to a call of a person shot, and upon arrival, found multiple people suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were not able to provide information about the incident, but police said the victims were standing on the sidewalk when someone drove by and started shooting. A 28-year-old man was hit multiple times in the body and was taken by fire crews to St. Francis Hospital, where he died. A 31-year-old man was hit in the chest and was taken to Weiss Memorial Hospital, where he died. The third victim, a 36-year-old man, was shot in the back and was taken to Evanston Hospital in fair condition. Broadway was closed for investigation and has since reopened. According to police scanner radio, the shooter was captured on city pod cameras, possibly driving a stolen car. As of Saturday, no arrests have been made. Area Three Detectives are investigating.

The suspect is about 5-foot-10 and was seen wearing a black knit hat, dark pants, and a tan jacket. He was also spotted in a black jacket and tan pants.
