Four men damage fish tanks of seller after quarrel
Trichy: Four men, including two history-sheeters, were booked on Tuesday for trespassing into the house of an ornamental fish seller near the airport area and damaging several fish tanks, after they were reprimanded by the seller for driving rashly. S Sathish, 40, from Bharathi Nagar, is running the ornamental fish shop on Wireless Road while his wife Rajalakshmi, 39, is running a tailoring business next to his. On Monday night, when the couple were returning home in their two-wheeler, three men identified as Saddam Hussein, Dharmaseelan, and Balaji ran into them on a motorcycle. An argument broke out between the two sides. The men abused the couple and threatened them with dire consequences. The next night, the men, accompanied by another named Arivazhagan, located Sathish's house and trespassed into the premises when he was not at home. They noticed that Sathish had been making some fish tanks at his house. The accused broke and damaged the tanks. Rajalakshmi filed a complaint at the Airport police station. A case was registered. Hussein, Dharmaseelan, Balaji, and Arivazhagan were charged under BNS sections 296b (abuse), 329-4 (trespass), 324-2 (damage), and 351-2 (criminal intimidation). It was learned that Balaji and Arivazhagan had criminal cases against them. An investigation is in progress.
