Arjun's Chess Academy to compete in 31st Abu Dhabi Chess Festival
Bahrain's Arjun's Chess Academy (ACA) is all set to make its mark once again at one of the world's largest chess events — the 31st Abu Dhabi Chess Festival 2025, scheduled from 14th to 24th August in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This year's festival is expected to witness over 3,000 players from various countries competing in 31 different tournaments, making it a global celebration of chess. The ACA team, led by coach Arjun Kakkadath, will be participating for the third consecutive year, reaffirming the academy's commitment to providing its students with top-level international exposure. The ACA contingent comprises 10 talented students: Prithvi Raj Prajeesh, Aaryan Anil Jai Prabhakaran, Dhrupad Lohidas, Arnav Singh Dewan, Rudra Viral Desai, Khush Dholaria, Jishnu Balajee Meenu, Vaishnav Sumesh, Nimit Minu and Tanya Singh . They will compete in multiple events including the Standard Open, Junior Open, Schools Tournament, Academy Tournament, and Blitz Tournament. Speaking about the event, Arjun Kakkadath said, 'The Abu Dhabi Chess Festival offers our players a rare chance to face top-rated opponents from across the globe. It's an invaluable experience that pushes them to improve and grow as chess players.'

Bahrain's Young Chess Stars Shine in Belgrade
TDT I Manama Bahrain's Arjun's Chess Academy (ACA) has once again broadened the horizons for its promising young talents! As part of its annual summer exposure trip, ACA recently took a team of four dedicated students from Bahrain to Belgrade, Serbia, to compete in the prestigious Serbia Open 2025, held from July 14 to 24. The participating students, Navaneet Sreekanth, Mikael Vivek Joseph, Gabriel Vivek Joseph, and Arnav Singh Dewan, were accompanied by their experienced coach and academy director, Arjun Kakkadath. This exceptional opportunity allowed the students to compete in a world-class chess tournament, gaining invaluable experience by playing against international players. They also had the chance to immerse themselves in the intense atmosphere of high-level chess events. This kind of exposure is crucial for their overall development, significantly boosting their skills and confidence as competitive chess players.
