Shahid Kapoor thrilled fans by visiting Lord's Cricket Ground, sharing nostalgic photos on Instagram. Dressed in cricket whites, he evoked his role as Arjun Talwar from Jersey.
Bollywood heartthrob Shahid Kapoor just made cricket fans and movie lovers cheer with nostalgia as he stepped onto the hallowed grounds of Lord's Cricket Ground in London, famously known as the Home of Cricket. The actor took to Instagram to share a series of photos from the pitch — and naturally, the internet went wild.
Dressed in full cricket whites, Shahid looked every bit the part, flexing his biceps and flaunting that Arjun Talwar energy — a nod fans didn't miss for a second. In fact, the comment section quickly flooded with fans screaming 'Arjun Talwar is back!", referencing his much-loved role from the 2022 film Jersey.
In Jersey, Shahid played Arjun Talwar, a talented but retired cricketer who makes a stunning comeback to the sport in his 30s to fulfill his son's dream. The film, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri (who also helmed the original Telugu version), told a touching story of resilience, fatherhood and second chances — a performance that earned Shahid critical acclaim and fans' hearts alike.

One of the pictures also featured Shahid's wife Mira Rajput Kapoor, who stood beside him in a candid click, radiant in white against the backdrop of the historic stadium. The event appears to be part of an ongoing celebrity or exhibition match series hosted at Lord's. Shahid, clearly soaking in the experience, looked as stylish off the field as on it — changed later into a sleek deep-blue shirt and tailored pants and posed in the famous corridors.
But what made Shahid's cricket outing even more special was the timing. His visit to Lord's coincided with the India vs England third Test match, held at the same venue from 25–29 July 2025. In an intense game of cricket, England edged past India by just 22 runs, taking a 2–1 lead in the five-match series — a thrilling match many are calling an instant classic.
