The award comes with a $1,000 stipend and a citation from the Arkansas House of Representatives.
Johnson said what keeps her motivated is a mission to make sure every child has the opportunity to succeed in the arts and beyond.
'Just making sure that where they're born and who they are isn't what holds them back from being the best version of themselves they can be,' Johnson said.
