Pic: Instagram/Arthur Gourounlian The AG is a unisex scent with Arthur detailing it as 'memory in the purest form.' Announcing the fragrance on Instagram, he said: 'It's your first concert, echoing in the night air. Your first love, lingering like a whispered promise. That unforgettable family gathering, warmth wrapped in laughter. 'This perfume is more than a fragrance; it's a moment frozen in time. A single note can unlock a world, and now, a new one begins. 'This is the start of a long journey I've dreamed of. One scene. Infinite memories. The first of many.' Taking to Instagram Stories on Thursday, Arthur detailed how he's 'always been obsessed' with perfume. He shared: 'My first perfume, I bought when I was 16 years old with my first hairdressing pay check. I was over the moon because we couldn't afford perfumes or colognes, things like that. Arthur added that it was 'absolutely bonkers,' but explained that he set out to create a scene that could be worn 365 days a year. 'Not only for special occasions, we are already so blessed to be on Earth every day is a special occasion so I want everyone to spray it going to the supermarket, communions, weddings, birthdays. 'It smells sultry, beautiful and, I'm going to say, LIFE.' The 44-year-old followed up to share that the notes in the fragrance were bergamot; rose; amber and musk, and the scent would be exclusively available on AG Official.

Dancing With The Stars judge hopeful for RTE show's return

Dancing With The Stars judge Arthur Gourounlian has said he hopes the show returns next year. RTE bosses have yet to confirm if the hit dance show will return to our screens in January. But the Armenian-born choreographer is hopeful it will – praising the series for 'bringing families together'. He said: 'Please tell me yes, because I would love it. We always get phone calls around the end of July, August. So, I'm always, you know, once, every time I finish the last show, thank you, goodbye, whatever will happen, thank you. That's exactly what I do. Every job I do, I treat it like it's my last show, because nothing is guaranteed in life. 'Everywhere I go, everybody's obsessed with Dancing With The Stars. People come up to me, you know, like their grandma's and are like, 'you owe me money'. I was like,' Why do I give money?' Like, 'because of you, I lost like, 100 euro the past two weeks.'' Speaking at this year's Platinum VIP Style Awards, he said the show brings families together. 'They bring everybody together and having fun every Sunday, grandma, granddad, they don't see their kids, or, you know, grandchildren. That's one night a week where they get together, and that's so important.' The father-of-two is currently on a huge fitness journey and after just over two weeks in, he can already feel the benefits. 'Do you know what it's my 15 days…and I have never done this before, because I don't really like going to the gym. 'It's only a 20 minute workout, but it's all about the food. And I'm learning, instead of eating five sandwiches, I'm going for one. And it's kind of like, makes me feel good. And now I feel bad if I eat lots of chocolate. 'Instead of having five million KitKats, I'm having one, just a little taste, but I haven't had any sweets. It feels good. 'I have two kids. I just want to run after them. You know, longevity. 'I knew I was getting heavy after being a dancer. I was like, 'my legs are getting heavy.' 'I've got always so much energy, energy I always have. But I was like, You know what? I'm getting heavy. I'm going to try to look after myself.' Arthur is preparing to launch his first perfume into the Irish market later this week. 'There are a few little things going on. I can't really talk about where I'm so excited. I'm actually buzzing. I'm launching the perfume next week, which is amazing. We got new things coming,' he added.

"When I woke up one day, I remember my calf was swollen, and I went to the hospital, and they said, 'Oh, no, no, it's not a blood clot, it's just like a mosquito bite', and then I was like, 'Okay'. "You trust your doctor... sometimes you have to question two, three times, I'm learning that." Arthur's situation went from bad to worse after being sent home from the hospital. read more on the irish sun He explained: "So I took this tablet, nothing happened, left, and it was still swollen. Two weeks later, my calf was so, so big, and it was burning. "It was like somebody had a lighter on my calf. I woke up, and Brian laughed, he was like, 'Oh, come on, you're so dramatic, you're fine', I was like, 'Trust me, I know my body, as a dancer, there's something wrong here'." Arthur Gourounlian reflects on 'unforgettable' Amsterdam trip with pals Arthur rushed back to the same hospital and this time it was clear to the doctors that something was very wrong. He said: "I will never forget the face of the the doctor, she came to me, said, 'Can you breathe?', and I went, 'Yeah, I'm fine, for the moment, I'm fine', she was like, 'Oh my God', they acted so fast. "I'm not gonna name the hospital, because I don't want to shame them but I feel like I was neglected. "She rushed me into the room, they started doing tests, I had blood clot." 'IT WAS GOING TO MY LUNG' Arthur was told that if he waited a few more days, he "would never survived". He added: "It was going to my lung, and to my heart and once a blood clot goes to your heart, you'll die, there's no saving, so you go heart attack - die. "So she said, 'Thank God you came'. I had to have injections, lots of injections and I took the tablets for six months and I've been fine, because I'm active. "All my life, I turned 40, I was so active, I was so fit and then suddenly, Covid happened, and we did nothing, so I was eating, and take-aways, and that heaviness, and no exercise, obviously, I probably had a problem, but it can happen to anybody, it's just a blood clot." Speaking about feeling "neglected" on his initial visit, he added: "It was the first time, they didn't do the right test, it was too rushed. "But I guess it was the momentum of COVID, and everything, they're just like, 'Okay, you just probably have a bite'." 4 Arthur is doing a 28 day fitness challenge Credit: Instagram

Arthur Gourounlian on racism and homophobia in Ireland

Dancing With The Stars judge Arthur Gourounlian calls Ireland home, but says he will always experience racism and homophobia. In the early 1990s, the Armenian dancer fled his home country for Belgium, where he sought asylum. He now happily lives in Dublin with his husband Brian Dowling and their two daughters Blake and Blu. But as hate towards immigrants and refugees appears to be on the rise, Arthur told the Irish Sunday Mirror it is something he experiences. After launching Newbridge Silverware's new 'Legendary Blue Box' campaign, the choreographer said: 'Ireland welcomed me with open arms. I've been so so lucky, Ireland is my home, and nobody will take that away from me. 'We're always going to get abuse from me being a refugee, the jealousy, the racism and homophobia. Brian and I will always get that no matter what, no matter where you are. 'But they are the 3%, the 97% are absolutely incredible. So I'm speaking from my experience, my story. Online the other day I was told 'You French c**t go back home'. I had to go back and say 'Maybe get your facts right I'm Armenian'. 'But guess what? They're not going to defeat me. They're not going to do anything to me because they're not part of my life. It's okay. It's not okay, but it's okay.' The Dancing with the Stars judge is a Eurovision fanatic and was part of the panel that chose Ireland's entry on the Late Late Eurosong contest. Speaking hours before the Eurovision semi-final on Thursday, Arthur said he was very positive that Norwegian singer Emmy would take Ireland to the final with her entry Laika Party. He said: 'It's fun, it's catchy. So hopefully people are gonna hear that and see that she looks great. She can sing for the room and get seen.' Arthur said he doesn't think it's unfair that a singer who isn't from Ireland or lives here can represent the country. The Eurovision expert also thinks it could be an advantage, as Norwegians may pick up the phone for Ireland. He added: 'When people come for people, please take your facts as the girl who has co-written the song is Irish. 'It's not about the person, it's about the song. It's called the Eurovision Song Contest.' Samantha Mumba, who was one of five hopefuls for this year's entry, lashed out at Arthur and his fellow panellists - including 2fM's Laura Fox and Donal Skehan - when she wasn't chosen. Taking to Instagram, she wrote: 'Special mention to the 'panel' (aside from Bambie who I stan) who not only didn't have the credentials, experience or professionalism required and were unnecessarily rude and vile to all the finalists - my parting gift them is a bag of (aubergine emoji) to slowly choke on.' Arthur stayed fairly quiet online following the backlash but said on Thursday that contestants who can't be criticised shouldn't enter the competition. He said: 'I was paid to do a job and sit in that chair and that's exactly what I did. When you do a competition like that, no matter if it's X-Factor or any competition that there are judges or a panel you have to get ready to be criticised or told off or things like that. 'So if you can't handle that, it's not for you.' The Dancing With The Stars judge was speaking as he launched Newbridge Silverware's new 'Legendary Blue Box' campaign that tribute timeless style and craftsmanship. He produced and directed a new campaign video for the brand, who he said was 'a dream' to work with.
