‘The Painter's Fire' Review: Pictures From a Revolution

History, we're told, is written by the victors. It is also shaped by the evidence that survives. For that reason, the loss of an artist's works may consign his story, or hers, to the margins. But from those margins, it can, with diligence and imagination, be reclaimed. That is the most invigorating takeaway from Zara Anishanslin's 'The Painter's Fire: A Forgotten History of the Artists Who Championed the American Revolution.'

TikTok Tempts Songwriters with New Promotional Features - Jordan News

TikTok has added new features that allow songwriters to showcase their work more clearly as part of a beta launch. These features include a "Songwriter" badge that appears on the profile, and a dedicated tab on the page displaying their most prominent musical works. اضافة اعلان The company stated that a limited number of songwriters and publishing partners currently have access to these features, and to join the program, one must register on a waiting list. TikTok indicated that it conducted a survey involving over 870 songwriters, along with personal interviews, to understand their needs in terms of professional identity building and monetization opportunities. The results of an independent survey showed that more than half of the songwriters who use social media to promote their work prefer TikTok for this purpose. Jordan Lui, Head of Partnerships and Licensing at TikTok's Global Music Publishing Division, said: "TikTok is distinguished by its ability to empower songwriters to showcase their musical works alongside their personal content, allowing them to tell their stories, highlight their art, and build a new audience." With this move, TikTok joins platforms like Spotify, which have allowed songwriters to highlight their work for years, as well as Tidal, which recently launched a tool to track copyrights and manage royalties. Although TikTok Music platform was shut down last year, TikTok remains a key tool for discovering new music and promoting songs, especially after launching TikTok for Artists earlier this year, which helps artists track the performance of their music campaigns.
