Parmeet Sethi, Archana Puran Singh Reveal Why Their Sons Fly Economy
Last Updated: Parmeet Sethi discussed his vlogging career and his recent trip to Switzerland with his family. Parmeet Sethi, widely recognised for his roles in hit films like Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Lakshya, has now stepped into a new phase of his career. Alongside his wife, actress Archana Puran Singh, and their sons Aryamann and Ayushmaan, Parmeet has embraced the world of vlogging. Their YouTube content offers a vibrant mix of emotion, adventure, and family moments, connecting them with fans in a fresh, personal way. Recently, Parmeet reflected on this 'second innings" of his professional journey and shared how he and Archana are intentional about keeping their sons grounded, despite their showbiz background. In an interview with SCREEN, Parmeet Sethi opened up about his recent family trip to Switzerland with his wife, Archana Puran Singh and their sons, Aryamann and Ayushmaan. Interestingly, despite attaining much stardom with his stint in movies and now in vlogs, the actor made his kids travel in economy. Disclosing the reason behind this, he also shared how the couple has asked the boys to earn their own money. 'We have always tried to keep our children grounded, as normal as possible and keeping them away from the trappings of being in a filmy family," he told SCREEN. Further, the actor revealed his and Archana's teachings and clarified, 'When they travelled in business class with their own money, that joy was incomparable. It was ten times more than your parents handing you a ticket." Watch their Switzerland vlog here: In the same conversation, Sethi was then asked what Aryamann and Ayushmaan wished to become in their lives. To this, he disclosed their career plans and shared how they have been working hand for the same. 'Aryamann has a music career and also wants to become an actor. Ayushman only wants to become an actor. He is really looking for a lead role in a series or film. Both are auditioning every week. They have been preparing themselves for the last 2-3 years with Atul Mongia classes and everything. They are itching to come on screen now," the doting daddy revealed. He also reflected on how his kids were recognised on the roads of Switzerland and approached for selfies more than the couple, which elated him. The Bhangra Paa Le star then talked about his latest venture with Archana and the kids, saying that they never expected millions of people would be watching them. 'We were not expecting it – socha tha 20-25K views ajayenge and now it's in millions. We all are very grateful. It's like a second career for me," he said, mentioning how the family of four have started taking vlogs very seriously as they are being more fruitful than films. On the professional front, Sethi was last seen in the web series The Magic Of Shiri, co-starring Divyanka Tripathi in 2024. He was also supposed to feature in Aarti S Bagdi's directorial Abir Gulal, which features Vaani Kapoor and Fawad Khan in lead roles. The movie has been postponed for an indefinite period due to the presence of Pakistani actor Fawad Khan amid India-Pakistan war tensions. First Published:

Archana Puran Singh's sons give special Mother's Day surprise to her, Aryamann gets upset as fans don't recognise him: ‘Mein adopted hu…'
In the family's latest vlog, Archana Puran Singh's sons, Aryamann and Ayushmaan, are seen surprising her with a series of thoughtful gestures on Mother's Day. From a relaxing salon session and plucking her favourite fruit to a fine dining experience, the actor was touched by their efforts and meticulous planning. However, Aryamann expressed disappointment that fans recognized the family through their vlogs—but not him specifically. In a light-hearted moment, he also joked that Archana loves Ayushmaan more than him, calling himself the 'adopted' child. At the start of the vlog, Archana's sons set out to make their mother feel special in their own unique ways. While Ayushmaan plucked around 50 mangoes from their homegrown garden for her, Aryamann treated her to a breakfast in bed complete with her favourite savouries, desserts, and tea. After beginning the day on a sweet and emotional note, the brothers surprised their mom with a salon session. Before heading out for the day, Archana also made sure to wish her own mother a happy Mother's Day, gifting her a beautiful indoor plant. After getting a beautiful makeover, Archana Puran Singh happily joined her family for dinner at Bastian, Mumbai. Before entering the restaurant, a few fans stopped them and got pictures clicked. However, they failed to recognise her eldest Aryamann. Archana asked, 'Isko nahi pehchaana? Isko nahi dekha vlogs mein?' The fan responded, 'Nahi inko nahi dekha, unko dekha hai, ache vlog karte hain aap. Aap ache handsome ho,' while pointing towards her younger son Ayushmaan. He smiled and went inside, replying, 'Nahi hu na main aapka bacha, vahi toh problem hai (I am not your kid, that's the problem).' While waiting for their dinner order, Parmeet Sethi entertained everyone with his 'PJs' and answered a fan comment asking, 'Why are you so mean towards PJ Sethi?'. 'Aisa nahi hai, we love you yaar,' Archana answered. 'Papa mumma dono ne mujhe bahut maara, bolte the tu adopted hai, ganda hai, nahi chahiye hume (Both mom and dad have beaten me during childhood, they didn't want me),' quipped Aryamann. Archana Puran Singh's vlogs are steadily growing in popularity. The actor will soon return for the new season of The Kapil Sharma Show on Netflix.

Archana Puran Singh's son says ‘chhutta nahi hai' as she opens car door for him, tells her she has poor taste: ‘Jao apne Kapil Sharma mein'
Archana Puran Singh and her family continued their quest to find the best food in Mumbai. After making vlogs on the city's best dosa, vada pao, pizza, kulfi, and other food items, they went to three of the best frankie spots that Mumbai has to offer. As usual, they bantered about each other's likes and dislikes, while Archana's husband, Parmeet Sethi, made his impromptu jokes. They were joined by their sons, Aryamann and Ayushmaan. Archana still appeared to be recovering from her arm fracture, which has been a recurring topic in several of her recent vlogs. In Tuesday's videos, the family went to Quality, Shree Frankie, and Tibb's. They started off at Shree, where Archana hopped out first and opened the door for her son, pretending to be a security guard. Her son stepped out of their car, and while Archana saluted him, he said, 'I don't have change.' She retorted, 'Change? You should be giving me Rs 500.' At Shree's, they were served their food inside bags of Lay's chips. While they were initially skeptical about it, all four of them were impressed by their frankies. Next, they went to Tibb's, which is the originator of the frankie roll, considered a Mumbai delicacy. They weren't as impressed with the food, and together, they decided that Shree was still number one. But all three men were looking forward to Quality, which, they said, was an old favourite. Parmeet recalled that he went to school next door, and would eat frankies at Quality at least twice a week. He said that he would also treat his school friends there on birthdays. Archana, on the other hand, remembered going to the department store next door when her two sons were younger. She met the owner, who remembered her. Archana was the only one who wasn't especially impressed by the food, while Parmeet, Ayushmaan and Aryamann awarded the rolls top marks. Looking at his mother, Aryamann said, 'You have no taste. Please go back to judging people on Kapil Sharma.' Archana and her family have b uilt quite a following on YouTube; their channel has nearly 700,000 subscribers.
