Developer underscores green living in Iskandar Puteri flagship project

A night view of Linbaq Holding's Space Residency development in Taman Abad, Johor Baru. FRESH off the completion of its first flagship development in Johor Baru, property developer Linbaq Holding Sdn Bhd is all set for its next venture – a 80.9ha project in Iskandar Puteri. Linbaq Holding chairman Tan Sri Lau Yin Peng said their next flagship project, Ascent Park, has a gross development value of over RM5.6bil. 'The project will be rolled out in three phases, with the first phase alone covering over 24.2ha of land. 'It will feature double-storey homes and shoplots and is set to launch in the third quarter of this year. 'We will be focusing on this project, located within the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ), for the next three to six years. 'We believe it is poised to ignite the next wave of property interest,' he said. Lau highlighted that the upcoming development would also emphasise sustainable green living, as it would be anchored by a 2.02ha central park. Lau says the project obtained its certificate of completion and compliance in mid-May. The project has obtained GreenRE certification ahead of its launch, emphasising the developer's dual commitment to sustainability and quality living. GreenRE is a green building certification body formed by Real Estate and Housing Developers Association Malaysia. Lau shared details of the new project in his speech during a lighting-up ceremony and appreciation dinner to celebrate the completion of Space Residency in Taman Abad, Johor Baru. The 500 guests who attended included corporate partners and those who had supported and assisted the project until its completion. 'Space Residency is Linbaq Holding's first flagship development,' said Lau. 'We overcame two-and-a-half years of Covid-19 pandemic restrictions and bounced back. 'When the project was introduced in 2019, we sold all units before it was even topped off, reflecting the strength of the Johor property market.' Lau added that the project officially obtained its certificate of completion and compliance in mid-May. Linbaq Holding deputy chief executive officer Grant Kok Chun Siong said the company had also successfully handed over Phases One and Two of Kaze Hill, a mixed development in Ulu Tiram. 'We will continue to raise the bar and create greater value for our customers and communities,' he added.
