Shriners Children's Erie receives over $64K thanks to Spirit of Children program
Shriners Children's Hospital of Erie received a sizeable donation that supports the continued care of local patients.
A program known as Spirit of Children, which is a part of the Spirit Halloween chain of stores, donated more than $64,000 to the Shriners Child Life Department on Monday.
Shriners Erie Telethon 2025 surpasses previous year's donation total
That department works to reduce the stress and anxiety that can grow in children throughout their medical journey.
'Since 2011 we have been donating to this community. For the child life department here at Shriners,' said Ashley Best, zone manager for Spirit of Halloween. 'The team we have in this community is pretty great.'

'We do a lot of teaching, a lot of preparation and distraction during procedures to help those patient outcomes be more positive,' said Kristin Maguire, child life specialist at Shriners Children's of Erie.
Since 2011, Spirit of Children has raised about $383,000 for Shriners Children's Erie.
