HC designates three as senior advocates
Raipur: The Chhattisgarh high court has designated three Bilaspur-based advocates as senior advocates. The advocates are Ashok Kumar Varma, Manoj Vishwanath Paranjpe and Sunil Otwani. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Registrar general Maneesh Kumar Thakur issued a notification to this effect. The HC's full court approved the designation in a meeting on Aug 7. The advocates have been conferred the senior title with immediate effect. The designation was made in exercise of powers conferred under Section 16 of the Advocates Act, 1961, read with Rule 7 of the high court of Chhattisgarh (Designation of Senior Advocates) Rules, 2018. It is also in pursuance of the Supreme Court's judgment and order dated 12 Oct 2017.
