13th annual Asian Fest held on Saturday in Sioux City
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — Asian Fest kicked of on Saturday over the weekend with thousands of attendees. Asian Fest officials said, the event has grown so much over the past few years they've had to close down part of cook street. The celebration was packed with live performances, nine vendors and food trucks, all showcasing an appreciation for the Asian community. 'Our line dancers are always a favorite, and their our openers, and they've been with us since the beginning for 13 years,' said Peggy La, a committee member for Asian Fest. 'My favorite part is where the whole community comes together for four hours and just get to enjoy each others company.' Festivities concluded at 8 o'clock on Saturday night.
