Man gets death for 2013 rape-murder of 11-yr-old
Hyderabad: A fast-track court in Nalgonda sentenced on Thursday a 24-year-old butcher to death for the rape-murder of an 11-year-old girl on April 28, 2013. According to the prosecution, Mohammed Mukarram lured the girl to a field in Hyder Khan Guda in Nalgonda, raped her, and strangled her with a chunni. He dumped her body in a drain. Her father lodged a missing complaint with Nalgonda One Town police station. Police registered a case and investigation led to Mukarram's arrest. The court ordered that Mukarram be "hanged by the neck till death" for the crime. The convict, a resident of Hyder Khan Guda in Nalgonda town, was also handed out additional prison terms and fines under various charges. Additional district judge-II N Rojaramani pronounced the death penalty and handed additional prison terms and fines under separate charges.
