British Islamic Scholar Asrar Rashid: The Final Caliphate Will Emerge from Jerusalem; Palestinian Uprisings Are Harbingers – The NATO-Backed, Nike-Wearing, McDonald's-Eating Jihad of ISIS Is Meant to
British Islamic scholar Asrar Rashid said in an interview with journalist Dilly Hussein that final Caliphate will be established out of Jerusalem, and that past and current Palestinian 'uprisings' are harbingers of this. He said democracy does not work for Muslims, calling it a 'tyranny,' and cited examples such as the West orchestrating a coup against Hamas in the Palestinian Authority and the ouster of Muslim Brotherhood President Mohamed Morsi in Egypt. Rashid claimed that the 'Nike-wearing,' 'McDonald's-eating,' Mossad-backed 'so-called' Jihad of ISIS is intended to distort the concept of Jihad and invalidate the 'real Jihad' of the Palestinians. He added that Jews would be safe and welcome in the Caliphate, provided they pay the jizya poll tax. The interview was conducted at Lozells Central Mosque in Birmingham as part of the launch of Rashid's book Intellectual Intifada: Blueprint for Restoring the Caliphate.

British Islamic scholar Asrar Rashid spoke at a March for Palestine organized by the Workers Party of Britain in Birmingham on July 12, 2025. He said that Palestinian armed struggle is justified because they are resisting oppression and the 'banker state' of Israel. Rashid stated that Muslims take up armed struggle and are not ashamed of it, as the concept of Jihad exists in the Quran. He said there have been attempts to 'malign' Jihad by equating 'real Jihad' groups with terrorists, explaining that this has existed since 9/11 through Al-Qaeda, 'which was formulated by the West' for this purpose. Rashid called on the British government to arrest those in the Israeli embassy in the UK, but he said they will not do so because 'they control your capital, they control your finance, they write down the policies for you.' Other speakers at the march included former British MP George Galloway, musician Lowkey, and sociologist David Miller.

He said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Argentinian President Javier Milei are devotees of the messianic and 'apocalyptic' worldview espoused by Menachem Mendel Schneerson (the Lubavitcher Rebbe), according to which Israel must launch a major war and expand from the Euphrates River to the Nile River, establishing a 'Super Jewish State.'
