16 cadres arrested, explosive devices recovered in joint operations in Manipur
Sixteen cadres affiliated with various hill and valley-based groups in Manipur were arrested and nearly 40 weapons were recovered between May 5 and May 12, under a series of joint operations launched by the Army and the Assam operations were conducted across various Manipur districts -- Imphal West, Imphal East, Thoubal, Tengnoupal, Chandel, and Senapati, in coordination with the state police CRPF, BSF, and ITBP. advertisementSecurity forces recovered 17 weapons, 17 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), grenades, ammunition, and other war-like stores.
