The News Herald is back with the athlete of the week poll, but first, congratulations to seventh grader Avery Obert of Bozeman, last week's Florida Power & Light (FPL) athlete of the week. Margaret Bartlow, North Bay Haven track and field The Florida commit capped her high school career with a state title in the 3,200 meters and a runner-up finish in the 1,600 at the track and field championships over the weekend. Josh Lindsey, Arnold baseball Lindsey came up big for the Marlins with a home run in their 7-6 win over Clay in Game 2. The Gulf Coast commit finished with three hits, two runs scored and an RBI. Bre Clark, Arnold softball Clark struck out 13 over seven innings, allowing just two hits and one run in the 10-1 win over Clay. Jayden Reyes, Arnold softball Reyes recorded three hits, drove in three runs and scored once in the win over Clay. Addison Mallon, North Bay Haven softball Freshman Mallon delivered an MVP performance both in the circle and at the plate to lead the Lady Buccaneers to an 8-1 win over Walton. She struck out nine, allowing just two hits and one run over six innings. Offensively, Mallon went 3-for-3 with three runs scored and an RBI. Athlete of the Week: Katelyn Magee

WILLARD–This week's Athlete of the Week is Katelyn Magee. Magee is a senior on the Willard High School Lady Tigers soccer team. Earlier this week, Magee played an instrumental part in Willard's 2-0 victory against Republic. With the match scoreless int he the second half, Magee put a perfect pass into the box, allowing Kallie Reiber to break the gridlock. Minutes later, Magee got her foot on the ball int he box and scored the final goal of the match to give Willard its 12th straight victory. Do you have an Athlete of the Week nomination?
