Buckhead residents without water for over 24 hours as crews work to find leak
Atlanta Department of Watershed Management crews are working to locate a leak that has deprived customers of water service near Nancy Creek Road NW and W. Paces Ferry Road NW. The department first posted a notice about water outages and low water pressure in the area on Sunday night. Crews have continued to inspect all valves in the area, but have not been able to locate any water main breaks. Some Buckhead residents without water this Memorial Day
ATLANTA - Crews are working to find the cause of a water outage in a section of Buckhead which has been impacting residents all day Memorial Day. What we know According to the Atlanta Department of Watershed Management, field teams are onsite inspecting valves but have not yet found any water main breaks. It is impacted in the area around Nancy Creek Road and Northside Parkway area in northwest Atlanta. To assist affected residents, bottled water is being distributed at Westminster School, located at 1424 West Paces Ferry Road. The distribution site is set up in the tennis court area and will remain open until 10 p.m. What we don't know It is not clear when the water service will be restored. Water seen gushing from Buckhead sidewalk after reported water main break
Crews are currently working to fix a water main break on Peachtree Road in Buckhead on Saturday afternoon. Atlanta Department of Watershed Management said the break was reported at Peachtree Road and Delmont Drive near a Walgreens. Video shared with Channel 2 Action News shows water gushing from the cracks in the sidewalk in front of the store and rushing down Delmont Drive.
