Licensed psychotherapist Colette Brown remembers being 'shocked' and 'a little charmed' the first time she heard her then-10-year-old daughter blurt out the F-word. Her daughter defended it by telling her mother that Brown curses in front of her all the time. Celebrities like Kylie Kelce, Jenni 'JWoww' Farley and Charlize Theron have all shared that they will let the profanity fly in front of their children, but is that acceptable behavior? 'That's the skill I want my kids to have as they get older: not how to never swear but how to never swear at the wrong moment,' Dr. Deborah Gilboa tells Aundrea Griffin, 38, surprised her husband, Kenneth, 64, on camera with the news that they were expecting their sixth child, which prompted an odd response of 'congratulations,' like he was a friendly neighbor. 'Ken went from 'Oh, she's kidding,' to 'Oh, she's not kidding,' and to 'I still got it!'' Aundrea tells She also spoke about how she dealt with the response to her viral Instagram clip in which people noted the 26-year age gap between them and criticized the Texas couple for having children despite her husband's age. Husband, 64, Learns Baby No. 6 Is on the Way. His Wife Recorded His ‘Strange' Response

When Aundrea Griffin surprised her husband, Kenneth, with the news that they were expecting their 6th child — just nine months after the birth of their fifth — his face flickered with what looked like delight, then confusion. In an Instagram video, Kenneth, 64, seems to process the life update in real time, pausing a beat before offering a smile and saying, 'Congratulations,' like a friendly neighbor. His reaction, which Griffin, 38, admits was a 'little strange,' came from him thinking she was playing a social media prank. 'Ken went from 'Oh, she's kidding,' to 'Oh, she's not kidding,' and to 'I still got it!'' she told bursting into laughter. 'He's very excited about the baby,' she adds. Griffin says she set the now-viral reel to Coolio's 'Gangsta Paradise,' for no other reason than the song's vibe felt humorously fitting alongside Kenneth's reaction to their growing family. The couple, who live in Texas, are already parents of Hayden, 14, McKenna, 9, Helena, 6, Kendall, 3, and Rhys, 9 months. Their newest — and final — child is due on Valentine's Day. After Griffin shared the clip on Instagram, she braced for the wave of comments about Kenneth's age and the 26-year gap between them. And sure enough, they came fast and unfiltered. 'Daddy ain't gonna see the 18th birthday.' "It's cool how he won't be there for a good portion of the kids life." 'Is that grandpa?' "It's inherently selfish to do this to a child." And of course, there were jabs about her being a gold digger: 'Girl, don't do too many babies, you'll have less inheritance and the plan will sink.' The Griffins met in 2009 when, she was 22 and he was a 48-year-old Air Force colonel who was recently divorced. He had no children from his previous marriage, but he'd always wanted to be a dad. Griffin didn't have a history of falling for older men, and Kenneth hadn't dated younger women before. They just connected, easily and unexpectedly, in a way that even won over Griffin's skeptical mom. 'All the guys I'd been meeting up until Ken were immature and played games and Ken knew what he wanted,' she says. For those who criticize them for having children given Ken's age, Griffin says the argument doesn't really hold up. She points out that many fathers walk out on their families, and countless grandparents end up raising their grandkids because of drug addiction, yet no one makes cruel remarks about their health or age. Griffin also mentions influencer couple Shay and Tanner Martin, who went through IVF to have a child while Tanner battled a terminal cancer diagnosis. He was 30 when he passed away, just over a month after their daughter was born. 'I was rooting for them,' she says, emphasizing her support for their decision. But she wonders why the Martins received an outpouring of love while Griffin was inundated with harsh judgments. It got to the point where she had to limit who could interact with the comments section on her page. According to Griffin, Kenneth is an avid runner and eats so healthily 'that it's disgusting.' 'There are so many parents who, quite frankly, shouldn't be parents, and Ken is not one of them,' she says. 'Yes, he may be older, but he's such a good dad. Having him around for as long as we can is so much better than not having him at all.' This article was originally published on
