Aurionpro Solutions bags landmark urban mobility project worth Rs 250 crore for Mumbai metro
Aurionpro Solutions Ltd has secured a major Urban Mobility project in Mumbai, marking a significant milestone for its Smart Transit and Urban Mobility business. The company has been awarded the contract by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) to design, supply, implement, and maintain the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system for Mumbai Metro Lines 4 and 4A. Valued at nearly ₹250 crore, this multi-year project involves the deployment of a complete fare collection solution, including central clearing house software (CCHS), ticketing hardware, payment systems, and five years of post-implementation maintenance and support. This deal is one of the largest ever signed by Aurionpro in the urban mobility space, further strengthening the company's Tech Innovation Group (TIG) portfolio. Following earlier successes with Delhi Metro and Chennai Metro, Mumbai now becomes the third major metro city in India to rely on Aurionpro for its AFC system development. The Mumbai Metro Rail Projects, led by MMRDA, are among India's most ambitious rapid transit initiatives, designed to serve both Mumbai City and the broader Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The network aims to deliver faster, more efficient, and sustainable urban transport, reduce traffic congestion, and improve connectivity across the region.
