K9 Experts LLC Celebrates Over 15 Years of Growth, Innovation, and Excellent Canine Care

04/15/2025, Warren, New Jersey // PRODIGY: Feature Story // K9 Experts LLC, a premier dog daycare, boarding, and training facility, proudly celebrates its 16th anniversary of providing top-tier canine care. Founded by Jose Menendez, an immigrant entrepreneur with an immense love for dogs, the company has grown from a small dog-walking service into a full-fledged pet care business serving hundreds of clients across New Jersey. Since its establishment in 2009, K9 Experts has earned a reputation for creating a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for dogs. It offers daycare services, overnight boarding, and professional training programs. Distinguishing itself from traditional boarding facilities, it remains kennel-free, ensuring all furry companions enjoy a comfortable, home-like atmosphere. K9 Experts' training programs are highly personalized, offering one-on-one sessions, daycare-and-train packages, and board-and-train programs that cater to dogs of all temperaments and skill levels. The company also benefits those seeking convenient door-to-door pet transportation. The majority of its clients rely on K9 Experts to pick up and return their pets. Through real-time notifications via text or their mobile app, owners are informed every step of the way. The New Jersey-based company's story is intertwined with its founder's journey. Menendez didn't have specific plans for his future upon arriving in the United States from his home country. A chance visit to a dog daycare changed everything. He managed to get hired on the spot despite his limited English skills and found himself learning more about the business and the industry. Menendez expanded his services in the following years, eventually acquiring a daycare facility and building a loyal client base. After undergoing multiple hardships, from his spouse's passing to navigating debt, the entrepreneur persevered and started fresh with a new location and a renewed vision. 'When I first walked into a dog daycare decades ago, I never imagined it would lead to this. Every challenge along the way has been an opportunity to grow, and the trust our clients place in us keeps pushing us forward. We're happy to make a difference in the lives of dogs and their families,' says Menendez. Client experiences attest to K9 Experts' impact. A long-time customer, whose two Australian Shepherds have been part of the K9 Experts family for a decade, shares: 'We've trusted Jose and his team for over 10 years, from walking our first Aussie, Gracie, to now providing daycare and boarding for our energetic pup, Maui. Knowing our dogs are in safe hands, coming home happy and well-exercised, gives us peace of mind every time.' Testimonials like this illustrate why the company has thrived for over 15 years. K9 Experts shares exciting expansion plans. It intends to build a state-of-the-art canine enrichment center featuring swimming pools, agility courses, and interactive play areas. Menendez looks forward to opening multiple locations in the future, each operated by trusted, highly trained staff. Following its 16th anniversary, K9 Experts invites new clients to experience its exceptional services firsthand. Prospective customers can schedule a meet-and-greet or book a trial session through its mobile app. Media Contact Name: Jose Menendez Email: [email protected] Source published by Submit Press Release >> K9 Experts LLC Celebrates Over 15 Years of Growth, Innovation, and Excellent Canine Care

Rockford teen and her dog to compete on world stage

Rockford Lutheran High School senior Grace Anderson and her 5-year-old Border Collie, Lane, are among the 24 dog owners and 29 dogs who will represent the United States at the Junior Open Agility World Championships this July in Portugal. Anderson said she and Lane train three to four times a week depending on her homework and soccer schedule. "Lane's best skill in agility is her send to the weaves, and her best trick in general is probably sit pretty," Anderson said. "My favorite part of agility has been all of friends I've made nationally and now internationally." Dogs and their handlers compete in categories of small, medium, intermediate and large dogs and by the age of the handlers. The agility competition is officially recognized by the Federation Cynologique Internationale — the World Canine Organization, the largest international federation of kennel clubs, according to a news release from the AKC Junior World Agility Team USA. "Training daily and traveling the world to compete at the highest level of dog agility takes mental and physical skills, dedication, commitment and heart," the organization said in a news release. Dogs leap over obstacles, run through barriers and navigate tunnels as fast they can. The dogs with the fewest faults and quickest time win. Team USA includes 23 girls and one boy. Handlers will run 29 dogs: six All American dogs, two Australian Shepherds, eight Border Collies, one English Working Cocker, one Golden Retriever, two Miniature American Shepherd, one Miniature Schnauzer, one Mudi, one Nederlandse Kooikerhondje, one Parson Russell Terrier, four Shetland Sheepdogs and one Standard Poodle. Brainy Australian Shepherd Smashes Puzzle Game in Record Time and Proves Breed's True Genius

As dog parents, it's our responsibility to ensure our pups have everything necessary for a happy, enriching life. This includes providing high-quality food that suits their dietary needs and making sure they get enough physical activity and mental stimulation to stay engaged and content each day. But what happens when a dog quickly masters every challenge you give them, trying to make their day enjoyable? An Australin Shepherd shows that the result is both impressive and amusing. On February 25, 2025, Instagram user Maggie with the Dogs (@maggiewiththedogs) shared a video of her beautiful Australian Shepherd dog, who outsmarted every game and puzzle she'd tried within minutes. This is both frustrating and impressive. Take a look! Finley is a brilliant pup! He was able to outsmart the "smart feeder," and he's so proud of himself—as he should be!In the comments, people praised Finley, congratulated him on figuring that puzzle out, and shared similar stories. One person wrote, "I have an Aussie/Rottweiler mix, and he's a problem because none of the exercise, puzzle, or educational toys are capable of doing their jobs. He outsmarts them within 2 minutes, and I just waste money. Then he has the audacity to act bored when I am not giving him 100% attention all day long." Another shared, "LOLLLL WHAAAATT. This is incredible, hahaha. I'm glad Ayce and Aria aren't that smart." More comments left for Finley included, "Try hide and seek. Have him sit in one room and wait while you hide kibble in various places. He has to wait to be released and then you can teach him hot/cold. I have a really smart dog and this definitely challenges him and keeps him busy," "There's lots of bosses out there who could learn a thing or two from Finley," "That look while he was carrying it... like you know it's more efficient if you have it closer to the button," and "Omg—work smarter not harder." It's impressive that Finely has mastered the smart toys his parents have given him. Each time, he's able to figure out how to get the treat prize in nearly no time. And that's likely because he's an Australian Shepherd, a dog breed known for its intelligence. According to the American Kennel Club,Australian Shepherds, part of the herding group, are described as "smart, work-oriented, [and] exuberant." Their qualities as cattle dogs and helping out during the cowboy life have honed their intelligence. "Aussies are remarkably intelligent, quite capable of hoodwinking an unsuspecting novice owner," the American Kennel Club shares. "In short, this isn't the pet for everyone. But if you're looking for a brainy, tireless, and trainable partner for work or sport, your search might end here." DogTime agrees with this, too, sharing that Australian Shepherd dogs are quick learners and aren't afraid of hard work. "Australian Shepherds are renowned for their intelligence," they share. "They are quick learners and excel in various canine activities, including obedience training, agility, and herding trials." Other qualities that add to their intelligence are their versatility and ability to use their herding abilities in situations beyond cows or farm work. "Due to their agility and trainability, they are often used in search and rescue, as therapy dogs, and in competitive dog sports," DogTime adds. There's no question about Finley's intelligence, not only because that tracks based on his breed but also because his impressively fast ability to solve smart feeders and get his treat reward at near record speed. 🐶SIGN UP to get 'pawsitivity' delivered right to your inbox with inspiring & entertaining stories about our furry & feathered friends🐾🐾

Here is everything you need to know about Lionel Messi's new Inter Miami teammates

Leonel Messi has a half-dozen new Inter Miami teammates this season, and they will play their first game that counts Wednesday night on the road against Sporting KC in the Concacaf Champions Cup opener, which was postponed from Tuesday due to a snowstorm. Those newcomers, who will be bundled up in ski caps and gloves for the sub-zero temperature expected at game time (8 p.m., FS2, TUDN), were brought in by first-year coach Javier Mascherano and his staff to shore up the defense and replace key players who departed, such as Diego Gomez, Leo Campana and Matias Rojas. Three come from Argentina. One from Venezuela. One from Uruguay. And one from across town in Cutler Bay. Here is a quick intro… MAXI FALCON Position: Defender Hometown: Paysandu, Uruguay Age: 27 Previous Club: Colo-Colo (Chile) Nickname: 'Peluca' (wig) for his curly mop-top of hair, reminiscent of Miami Fusion's Colombian star Carlos 'El Pibe' Valderrama. 'Up until 12 years old, I had very short hair because my mother told me I could get lice if I grew it long, but around 13 or 14 I let it grow, and I liked it. It became my trademark, a distinguishing feature.' Family: He has two brothers and was raised by his mother, who was a housekeeper and hospital aide. He is married to Florencia Pouso. They have a son, Domingo, who turns four in March, and four dogs – two chihuahuas (Lola, Marta) and two Australian Shepherds (Alma, Antonia). Hobby: Computer games Meeting Messi, Luis Suarez: 'It was impactful because those are the most elite players, players you see on T.V., `monster' players, as we call them. It was unthinkable that someone like me who started at such a small club Rentistas would end up a teammate of Leo, Luis, Jordi [Alba] and Sergio [Busquets].' GONZALO LUJAN Position: Defender Hometown: Buenos Aires, Argentina Age: 23 Previous Club: San Lorenzo (Argentina) Family: Father is an accountant. Mother stayed at home and took care of him and his older sister, who also played soccer. Soccer beginnings: Started at San Lorenzo youth team at nine years old, joined first team at age 21. 'San Lorenzo was like a second home for me. I was there my entire life, and I still follow all their games.' Other sports he enjoys: Basketball, tennis. 'I went to a Miami Heat game against Boston [on Feb. 10]. It was a dream to see a game in person. It was a great show, very impressive. I am sure I will go back with my girlfriend.' His shirt No. 2: 'I wore 35 at San Lorenzo and loved that number, but I wanted to make a fresh start here and leave my San Lorenzo memories behind, so I just picked a new number.' Meeting Messi: 'First time I met him was a friendly when I was with Argentina's U23 team, and I asked him for a photo. We didn't talk. First day I arrived here, I met him and he made me feel welcome. I was nervous, but he was chatting in the locker room, so it was a natural time to approach him…I haven't had [yerba] mate with him yet.' TELASCO SEGOVIA Position: Midfielder Hometown: Barquisimeto, Venezuela Age: 21 Previous Club: Casa Pia (Portugal) Family: One sister. Father played soccer. Parents have a family business doing auto detail. Soccer beginnings: 'I had a ball at my foot by age three. At 12 I told my Mom I was going to be professional soccer player and not live in Venezuela. She reminds me of that now.' Hobbies: Playing padel and video games. Style of play: 'I am a very technical player who likes to play short passes, connect through the middle, and will sacrifice on the defensive end, fighting for all the balls.' Meeting Messi: 'To have him as a teammate is crazy because he's been my idol since childhood. I was nervous to meet him. All the four stars have won everything and still want to win more, which is inspiring.' Life in South Florida: 'I feel at home with so many Venezuelans here. They have contacted me to welcome me and said they will go watch me play. I already found many good Venezuelan restaurants.' TADEO ALLENDE Position: Winger Hometown: Mina Clavero, Argentina Age: 25 Previous club: Celta Vigo (Spain), signed four-and-a-half-year contract in January 2024. He is on loan with Miami. Family: Blended family of seven siblings. Four brothers, three sisters (the eldest sister died a few years ago). Mother is a carpenter, father works construction. His soccer beginnings: His father took him to a boxing match when he was very young, but he was more interested in playing soccer outside than watching boxing. He joined the youth team of CA Juventud Unida before joining Instituto's youth teams in 2017. If he weren't a soccer player, he would be: 'That's a great question. I never thought of anything other than being a soccer player.' Meeting Messi: 'I was very nervous because it was the first time I saw him in person, first time I had any contact with him and he was always my idol. It was a very nice welcome.' Hobbies: Music. All kinds. FAFA PICAULT Position: Winger/Forward Hometown: Born, NYC, raised Cutler Bay (Miami suburb) Age: 33 Previous Club: Vancouver Whitecaps (MLS) Family: Maternal grandfather, Max Antoine, played for the Haitian national team. Father, Leslie, played professionally in the Major Indoor Soccer League. Both parents, Leslie and Lucerne, are teachers. Soccer beginnings: Youth clubs West Kendall, Coral Springs, Weston, Strike Force. Attended Killian High. 'My family was very academically oriented, both parents are teachers, and I was always a good student, in the gifted program at Coral Reef Elementary and Southwood Middle, took honors classes in high school, even got some recruiting letters from Ivy League schools, but there came a point where I had to decide between soccer and school.' Languages: English, Creole, French, Spanish, Italian ROCCO RIOS NOVO Position: Goalkeeper Hometown: Born Los Angeles, raised in Argentina Age: 22 Former club: Phoenix Rising of USL (on loan from Argentine club Lanus) Family: Father is Mexican, mother is Argentinean. Lived in L.A. until age 3 and moved to Argentina with his mother. One 10-year-old brother. Has been married for seven years. On being a keeper: 'From the time I started at age 5 I told my mother I wanted to be a goalkeeper. For my next birthday she bought me gloves. It's a position that can be unjust, because you get blamed for goals. But I love that pressure and adrenaline, the responsibility of being the last player an attacker has to pass to score.' If he weren't a soccer player, he would be: 'When I was young, I wanted to be a vet. I love animals. I have a dog, a shar pei named Ragnar.'
