Iowa teen killed in head-on crash in Jefferson County
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Iowa — A 17-year-old driver died Thursday morning, and the other driver was transported by air ambulance to Iowa City following a head-on crash in southeast Iowa.
A crash report from the Iowa State Patrol said the collision happened in the 1300 block of Packwood Road. That's about 12 miles northwest of Fairfield.

The ISP said a Toyota Camry driven by Ava Ford of Packwood was southbound on Packwood Road when it crossed the center line and struck a Dodge Ram pickup truck head-on.
Ford died as a result of the crash. The driver of the pickup truck, 40-year-old Clinton Weaver of Lancaster, Missouri, was injured and transported to University of Iowa Hospitals. His condition was not released in the report.
The Iowa State Patrol said it is still investigating the cause of the crash.
