Cyberabad Commissionerate marks June 2 celebrations with gusto
Hyderabad: The 11th Telangana State Formation Day was celebrated with utmost enthusiasm on June 2 at the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate. The event commenced with the National Flag being unfurled by Cyberabad police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty. The Commissioner also received the Guard of Honour from the Parade Commander. On this occasion, the commissioner emphasised the importance of collective effort in building a strong and progressive Telangana. He called upon all personnel to serve with unity, dedication, and renewed energy. 'By giving our best in every role, we can make a meaningful impact and uphold the true spirit of service,' he stated. Prohibitory orders in Cyberabad ahead of SSC Advanced Supplementary Examinations
In view of the upcoming SSC Advanced Supplementary Examinations, the Cyberabad police issued a prohibitory order restricting public assembly and commercial activity around exam centres. The order, issued by the Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty, prohibits the assembly of five or more persons within a 200-metre radius of all designated examination centres. This restriction will be in place from 6 a.m. on June 3 to 6 p.m. on June 13, corresponding with the duration of the supplementary examinations. Additionally, all photocopying and internet centres located within a 100-metre radius of the exam venues must remain closed throughout the examination period. The notification clarifies that the following are exempt from the purview of the order: police officers, military personnel, home guards, members of the education department's flying squad, and funeral processions members on duty. The official warned that any violation of these directives will attract legal action under the applicable laws.

Cyberabad police bans gatherings near exam centres
Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty ordered for prohibiting assembly of five or more persons around a 200-metre radius at all the examination centres of Intermediate Public Advance Supplementary Examinations. The examinations will be conducted from May 22 to May 29. Further, photocopy (xerox) and internet centres shall be closed within a radius of 100 metres from the centres. However, the following are exempted from the operation of this order - police officers on duty, military personnel on duty, home guards on duty, flying squad of the Education Department and funeral processions. The order will remain in force from May 22 to May 29 at all the examination centres of Cyberabad Police Commissionerate. The public informed that any person violating the orders shall be liable for prosecution under Section-163 of BNSS.

Empowering school safety champions: ‘Suraksha Kavach' orientation session held in city
Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner Avinash Mohanty emphasised the importance of forming structured 'Suraksha Kavach' / Safety Clubs in schools to raise awareness on physical safety, cyber safety, substance abuse, and road safety. During the orientation programme under the initiative 'Suraksha Kavach' conducted on Monday at Cyberabad Commissioner office, the commissioner stressed that basic civic sense should be instilled from childhood, as today's children are tomorrow's leaders. The orientation was conducted by Cyberabad Police in association with the Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC). The session was attended by TGANB Director Sandeep Shandilya, TGANB DIG Abhishek Mohanty, SB DCP Sai Sri, SCSC General Secretary Ramesh Kaza, Dr Vanitha Datla, Jt Secretary, Children & Youth Safety Forum, SCSC. SCSC CEO Naved Khan, school principals, and educators. Project Suraksha Kavach, an initiative of SCSC, centred on four key safety pillars: Physical, Cyber, Psychological, and Road Safety. It included discussions on substance abuse prevention, online safety, emotional well-being, and responsible mobility. Dr Vanitha, Jt Secretary C&Y Safety Forum, SCSC programme highlighted the importance of Prahari Clubs and Suraksha Kavach in cultivating safe learning environments. TGANB Director Sandeep Shandilya emphasised on shaping children with strong moral values and confidence to say 'No' to drugs. He urged both Government and private schools to proactively organise awareness programmes. Highlighting the severe effects of drugs on the human body, he detailed how drug use damages epithelial tissues and impairs brain function. He also addressed the importance of de-addiction centres, legal awareness through PECA 2019, and educational outreach. Shandilya called upon youth, educators, NGOs, and citizens to act as 'Anti-Drug Soldiers.' Students excelling in creative awareness activities like essay writing, debates, street plays, and short films are encouraged to submit entries to [email protected]. The session concluded with an engaging interactive discussion and a collective pledge from school leaders to implement the safety protocols and strategies discussed during the event.
