The movie My Hero created a buzz among the moviegoers when it was released in August 2024. It received rave reviews from critics and got appreciation from movie buffs. Its cast included local and international other specialty of the movie is that it explores places in Madhya Pradesh that were not explored by any Kannada movie till date. Avinash Vijaykumar made his debut as a director in Sandalwood with this movie. Vijaykumar, apart from handling the megaphone, had bankrolled the movie. The movie was screened at various film festivals in many countries. Now, it is set to be streamed on Amazon Prime from May 30. 'The movie explores the emotional journey of a family dealing with a loved one's memory is a significant global problem. The movie was nominated for Sweden Film Awards, Hollywood International Golden Age Festival, and Nashville Independent Filmmakers Festival,'' said Vijaykumar.
